As I was leaving the store, I said have a good day." The store keeper replied "Thanks, it couldn't get any worse." There was another customer waiting so I simply replied "I'm sorry. God bless you."

I stood outside the store, and knew I needed to go back in. I asked God what He wanted me to share. I heard "God knows your situation. It's going to be okay." I went in and said to her "I just feel God wants to say to you that He knows your situation, and it's going to be okay." She replied "That's very meaningful. Thanks."

As I reflected in the car, I felt that this was a word for many in this current season.

To the flood survivors; God knows your situation. It's going to be okay.

To those facing financial difficulties; God knows your situation. It's going to be okay.

To those with relationship problems; God knows your situation. It's going to be okay."

To those with emotional pain; God knows your situation. It's going to be okay.

Whatever your circumstance, God knows. God sees YOU. It's going to be okay.

"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit."

The thirteenth of January

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

While Jesus shows us that we don’t need to fear any disease, we have been bombarded with fear of disease over the past couple of years. I was listening to a podcast from Dr. Caroline Leaf during the early days of Covid-19. She said fear of Covid-19 could actually be more harmful than Covid-19. The media saturates us with fear messages, and we continually hear about new and far more deadly strains.

We must remember that living in a continual state of fearful thinking shifts our bodies into toxic stress, which can cause the blood vessels around our heart to constrict. This means there will be less blood flow to your brain and 14,000 neurophysological responses that normally work for your body can work against you, potentially making you more vulnerable to diseases due to a weakened immune system.

When you are in a constant state of panic and fear, the neuroendocrine system responds causing an increase in chemicals that weaken our immune system.

As I was trying to find further information on this I came across the Canadian Cancer Society website: “Neuroendocrine cells are spread throughout the body. They receive messages (signals) from the nervous system and respond by making and releasing hormones. These hormones control many body functions, such as digestion and breathing.”* So the fear and stress reaction in our bodies can even lead to some cancers.

Don’t get caught up in the fear and panic of the world. Remember what God has said, that He will strengthen us. We have been given an incredible immune system - designed by God - that has a remarkable ability to fight off disease. The more we are able to free ourselves from toxic thinking, the stronger our immune systems are. Choose faith over fear.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank you that You know me and love me. You are the great physician and healer. I pray that you would teach me to think in ways that honor you. In Jesus name, Amen.

Biblical Principles for building a spiritually and emotionally Healthy life

29/01/2022

Nothing is too hard for me, declares the Lord.
There's no hurt that I can't heal.
No pain that I can't heal.
There's no disease that I can't heal.
I, the Lord, can cure the incurable.
There's no mountain in your life that I can't move.
No burden that I can't lift.
Nothing is too hard for me.
Come to me, lay down your burden
Lay down your pain.
Allow me to exchange your ashes for MY beauty.
Allow me to give you the oil of joy in place of your mourning.
Turn your despair over to me and receive a garment of praise.
Nothing is too hard for me.

The twenty-fifth of January

“When they bring you to the synagogues, rulers, and authorities, do not be anxious how you will answer or what you will say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.” Luke 12:11-12

In Jesus time it was often “illegal” to talk about Jesus as the Son of God. This was seen as a great heresy that was worthy of being stoned to death. Telling the greatest news on earth - that Jesus came as the Son of God to be our Savior - was punishable by imprisonment, beatings, and even death.

Not much has changed. You can still be put in prison, fined, and in some countries put to death for sharing the good news of the Gospel. We hear growing stories of Christians being persecuted for their faith, and in many countries slaughtered.
In Western countries there is still freedom to talk about Jesus, at least at the moment. Certain parts of the Bible have come to be seen as “harmful” however. So harmful that the government has to ‘protect you’ from Bible believing Christians, making certain parts of the Bible illegal to talk about.

No matter what they legislate, governments are powerless to stop Jesus from transforming people’s lives. They cannot stop the Holy Spirit from changing hearts. No matter how hard they try to stamp out the truth, they can’t. The power of God is greater.

If you are afraid to talk about certain Biblical truths because of laws our government has passed, don’t be. By all means use wisdom, Jesus warned in Matthew 10:16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” We are called to speak the truth, just as Jesus and the disciples spoke the truth. God calls us to obey government except for when it is in direct opposition to what God tells us to do. Obedience to God must come first.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank you that I don’t have to be anxious about anything when I follow You. Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit who will teach me what to say. Thank you that You have transformed my life through the power of the cross. Give me courage to testify to Your truth whenever I am asked. In Jesus name, Amen.

Speaking at a church yesterday, I mentioned the mind body connection for disease. I talked about how research has shown 85% to 95% of disease comes from our thought life.

I shared how ever since I had heard arthritis can be linked to bitterness or unforgiveness, whenever I start to feel pain in my fingers from arthritis I do a heart check. I ask the Lord to search my heart, to show me if there us anything that I need to repent of. After all, if 85% plus of disease comes from our thought life, why wouldn't you? I have found as I have done this, the pain has gone away each time.

After the service, I was approached by a lovely lady. She shared with me how she had crippling rheumatoid arthritis and was in a great deal of pain. One night she was reading a Joyce Meyer book, and it mentioned about waiting for her mother to say I'm sorry - which wasn't going to happen. This lovely lady realised she had been waiting for her mum to say sorry for the pain she had caused her, and prayed and released the unforgiveness she had. The next morning she woke up and instantly knew she was healed. She told me she took several days to wean herself off the medications because you couldn't instantly stop, but this "incurable disease" with it's pain was totally gone. She has not had a return of this several years later. Without knowing anything about the mind body connection, when this dear lady repented of unforgiveness she was healed overnight. That's how amazing the mind body connection can be. I've heard of people instantly healed of end stage cancer when they repent of bitterness and unforgiveness. So incredible!

Please hear me clearly. I did not say that all disease is a result of sin. I said research shows that 85% - 95% of disease is however connected to the mind body connection. And there are many testimonies showing just how true this is.

The twenty-second of December

“There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.” Luke 15:11-12 NIV

God loves us so much He gives us free choice. Our Heavenly Father doesn't demand relationship with Him, it's something we have to choose. And while it grieves God's heart when we choose to turn away from Him, He won't stop us.

There is no indication that the Father tried to stop the son, or even that he tried to change his mind. Our Heavenly Father doesn't want blind obedience with us as His children. Our Lord desires a true love relationship with us. It is not love if it is forced. True love has to be freely given.

Sometimes we struggle with ‘free choice,’ particularly when we are hurt because of the free choice of others. We can ask ‘God, if you are so powerful, why didn’t you stop this from happening?’ I remember asking that question myself in a very difficult situation. God showed me that when He gives us a gift, like free choice, He doesn’t take it away from us. Even when we use that gift for the wrong things.

The more I understand the Lord’s mercy, the more I realise how amazing His mercy is. The Lord is full of love and goodness! If you have time, take a moment to just meditate on these few verses from Psalm 103:10-12: “He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us” (NKJV).

When the prodigal son returns home, his loving father celebrates with the biggest party. He does not point out his sins, he simply receives him. The brother is angry because he fails to understand the mercy of the Father. The brother feels his father is being unfair. And it’s true. God is not always fair, His mercy and grace are unfair. And as a recipient of that mercy and grace, I’m so grateful for that!

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I am so grateful for Your mercy and grace that You extend so freely to each one of us. Thank you for Your unconditional love and acceptance for me. In Jesus name, Amen.

P.S. I gave the first copy of the book to Mum.
