In my role as a Support Coordinator, I work with people who are navigating adolescence and young adulthood.
I see many young, vulnerable adults who are seeking independence, new relationships, online friendships and employment opportunities.
We have recently become members of the Council for Intellectual Disability and will be facilitating their important workshops at our Mount Colah meeting space.

The welcoming and accessible space at Mount Colah’s registered NDIS provider - My Glory - is perfect for small group activities, education and community connection. 🌱 Connect & Flourish – A Free Workshop for Parents 🌱

Parenting a child with disability brings both challenges and everyday joys. This free in-person workshop is designed with and for parents who want to care for themselves while navigating the highs and lows of this unique kind of parenting.

In this interactive workshop, you’ll discover practical tools you can weave into daily life such as nervous system regulation, reframing self-talk, breath & grounding practices, and exploring the many parts of yourself. We’ll also highlight the importance of ‘collecting the good stuff’ and remembering to have fun, because joy is a crucial element of self-care!

Facilitated by Nicole Newton, our educator and mentor with 18 years’ lived experience as a parent of a child with disability. Nicole knows that self-care isn’t a luxury but a necessity. She developed this workshop with and for parents to feel seen, heard, and valued.
