Today we celebrate our amazing nurses Jean and Jennifer.
Welcome back Jennifer we have all missed you so much and are very pleased you have returned to the fold.
And in the most exciting news , our fabulous Jean has been awarded the Wentwest Primary Care Nurse award for 2026.
The awards is in recognition of Jean’s outstanding contributions to primary healthcare and her dedication to improving the health and wellbeing of our community. We couldn’t be more proud of you Jean , congratulations 🥂

We would like to introduce Dr Karen Gong - GP Registrar who is working full-time at the practice.
Dr Gong is a GP registrar who completed a Bachelor of Music Studies at the Sydney Conservatorium prior to transitioning to medicine. She underwent her medical training at the University of Sydney, and has worked at Westmead and Coffs Harbour Base Hospitals.

Dr Gong is passionate about delivering quality healthcare tailored to the individual needs of patients. Outside of general practice, she enjoys hiking, playing piano and exploring new places.

It is with great sadness, we announce Dr Teng-Kiong Kek passed away peacefully on Saturday, 10 January 2026.
Dr Kek was a deeply respected medical practitioner whose dedication, compassion, and professionalism touched the lives of countless patients, colleagues, and members of the community spanning over an amazing 42 years at Mount Druitt Medical Centre. Throughout his career, he was known not only for his clinical expertise, but also for his kindness, humility, and genuine care for others.
He will be remembered as a devoted doctor, friend, a valued colleague, and a mentor to many. His commitment to medicine and to the wellbeing of those he served leaves a lasting legacy.
Dr Kek will be greatly missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he impacted. Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this difficult time.
Funeral arrangements will be advised as soon as possible.
