Take care with this impending heatwave. Check on vulnerable individuals to ensure they are hydrated. Keep jugs in the fridge with water and try adding fresh berries, mint leaves, cucumber, fresh lemon or lime to add a taste to the water. Make smoothies from frozen fruits such as frozen mango, banana and berries as a healthier alternative to ice cream. Spray water or rosewater onto your face with spritzer bottles.

Made a honey, lemon and ginger syrup for coughs and colds today. Whole lemon - juice and rind, ginger - minced or grated, honey raw, glycerine, water. Similar to what mum made when we were kids.
