There’s something really special about having a daughter you can move through life with.
Morning coffees, yoga mats side by side, Pilates classes, chats in the car, reminiscing about childhood , laughs and life.
One minute you’re holding their little hand, pushing them on swings for hours on end, sitting on the end of their end during those tricky teenage age years, the next you’re talking about life over a mâcha latte and chai after yoga.
Lily you are a total joy and I will always love you to the moon and back.

Becoming a parent changes everything including your relationship. Intimacy with you partner can get placed on the back burner for quite some time!
As Esther Perel famously said in her TED Talk The Secret to Desire in a Long-Term Relationship:
“Why does s*x make babies… and babies spell erotic disaster in couples?”

The whole motherhood journey brings huge physical, emotional and psychological shifts. Many women say they feel like a different version of themselves especially when it comes to intimacy.
And you’re not alone. Research from The Gottman Institute shows that around two-thirds of couples experience a drop in relationship satisfaction within the first three years of having a child.
This is common. It’s normal. And it’s something you can work through, with the right support, understanding and communication.
I’m available Thursdays 1-5 pm at Bundle House in Mornington.

💪 Let’s talk deadlifts…
Deadlifts are one of the best exercises for women in menopause because they build muscle, protect bone density, support metabolism, and strengthen the posterior chain (glutes, hamstrings and back) all areas that naturally weaken as oestrogen declines. They also improve posture and functional strength for everyday tasks like lifting groceries or grandchildren. Many women feel afraid of deadlifts because they’ve been told they’re “bad for your back,” look intimidating, or worry about getting bulky. In reality, when taught with good technique and appropriate weight, deadlifts are safe, empowering, and one of the most effective tools for staying strong and confident through midlife.
