Feed your mind; focus on the thoughts, beliefs, hopes, feelings and sensations that you would like more of and notice how that feels. Trust that when you are positively aligned with that joyful feeling of trust, positive changes are inevitable, then fill your life with things that feel joyful, empowering, nurturing and fun to do. By raising our vibration, we attract more joy.
2. Feed your body: Todays farming practices strip most of the nutrients out of the soil and our produce is deficient in many of the minerals and vitamins it should contain. Buy organic food where possible, avoid synthetic vitamins that the body does not recognise as natural and excretes and supercharge your mornings with green smoothies.
3. Exercise: This is one of the easiest ways to reduce anxiety and depression. Any physical exercise including walking and moving to music boost endorphin levels, improves circulation and oxygen levels and helps to reset the nervous system.
4. Learn EFT: Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as Tapping. Tapping is a technique where acupressure points on the body are tapped with the fingers in combination with cognitive behaviour therapy and exposure therapy. Tapping is the fastest and most effective treatment for anxiety, depression and chronic pain I have experienced. Its is safe and easy to learn for both adults and children.
5. Meditation: Meditation and mindfulness allows you to connect to the source of infinite wisdom, love and intelligence. Guided meditations, following the breath, mindfulness ie paying attention to actions and letting thoughts and feelings simply drift past and the loving kindness meditation are all ways to clear the mind and feel a state of deep peace. Even relatively short meditations of just a couple of minutes are soothing to the soul. I am passionate about working with women who are often juggling everyone’s needs except their own and are feeling exhaused and overwhelmed.
With over 23 years experience as a therapist, often working with clients with deep seated trauma, addiction and self-destructive behaviours, I too have experienced stress and chronic ill health until I learnt how to release the negative beliefs and feelings that were underlying it. I teach powerful techniques to adults and kids to reduce stress, tension and anxiety so that you can feel relaxed, inspired and empowered.
I am a registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, Counsellor, Massage Therapist, NLP Practitioner, Reiki Master/Teacher, Hypnosis for Childbirth Teacher and mum to two beautiful kids :-)
