💕 Introducing 'Tilly Margot' 💕

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition to name my baby! Tilly has joined our family as my infant massage doll. Let's hope Tilly is a social little butterfly as she will be an integral part of an upcoming Infant Massage opportunity.

Soon I will be reaching out for 5 fabulous ladies and their babies to join Tilly and I for a Five-Session Infant Massage Course. Facilitating these sessions is a requirement for my certification as an International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) Instructor 👩‍🎓

So, dear Tribe, please have a think about if you'd like to join me. Some things to consider:
Age of infant: birth to one year old
Consecutive, once a week sessions for 5 weeks *
75 minutes sessions
Your juggle of 'life' at the moment, factoring in the busyness of your commitments
Your birth recovery, factoring in physical recovery & energy levels
It is not just about learning massage .....this is a little deeper.....this is an opportunity to help enhance the relationship between you and your infant through nurturing touch

I endeavour to create an inclusive, friendly & safe environment to enhance a gratifying and meaningful experience for all attendees. I am not the expert. There is no pressure for you to be an expert either! We will follow our baby's lead, maybe learn a few things and take it step-by-step.....I look forward to providing more information next week and settle on a date to commence in mid September, 2025

BTW:
No cost for this particular group. I have chosen this IAIM course as my 2025-2026 PD provider which is recognised by my massage association 🙌

* sessions will be held in Mount Gambier, however consecutive weeks may be a bit tricky. So please allow flexibility for an extra week or two to complete all 5 sessions.

During the month of May:
✡️ a sprinkle of beautiful massage clients are booked in
✡️ a flurry of immunising commitments (Flu season!)
✡️ predominantly in Mt Gambier

During the month of June:
❄️ massage appointments are paused
❄️ Midwifery work commitments ramp up
❄️ Predominantly in Adelaide/Hills

Beyond June:
💜 Unsure at this stage, however I am trusting everything will fall into place
💜 Yin Tribe offerings will settle into retirement, except for an occasional collaboration for Mums and Bubs to connect when Spring arrives

💜 There will always be a family connection in Mt Gambier. The Lavender Room will be utilised for nurturing my loved ones. One dear child requires his fortnightly lasagna to be cooked! And, exciting times ahead for my two other dear kiddies who will find themselves living interstate next year! Mary (my Labrador) turns 10 this month! She continues to dance around me whilst I pack the car up to travel. I adore my travel companion and will continue to DIDO (Drive In Drive Out) for mine (& hubby's work commitments) x

Update Dear Tribe

A slight tweak in focus is happening in the next few months

I'll be catching babies in Adelaide

I'll be jabbing babies (ever so kindly) in Mount Gambier & Ade Hills

Exciting Professional Development courses are booked

These commitments will be taking priority over massaging

However, please reach out if you have a voucher and we will find an appointment time

Unfortunately I do not have capacity for new clients

As my exisiting clients filter through in the upcoming weeks we can chat and make a plan for future appointments

Mums & Bubs Yin Class

When: Tuesday 21st January & Thursday 23rd January, 10:30-11:30am

Where: The Nourish Nook, Yoga Deck, 25 Bay Road, Mount Gambier

Why: A lovely opportunity to enjoy the holistic benefits of Yin Yoga with your baby. We will focus on easing any tension in the body (for example neck stiffness from feeding postures) through yin postures and myofascial release applications. Participate in however you feel most comfortable, even just curl up with your baby and soak up the calming atmosphere. A nurturing & relaxed way to connect with your baby and other mums in our community.
(Suitable for babies yet to be on the move!)

It is time to connect ....

Yay! One of the most challenging courses I have ever undertaken
A further enhancement to my knowledge of what lays beneath our 'skin suit!'
Palpation skills & needling techniques that stimulate myofascial trigger points & muscular/connective tissue .....
What this translates to for my Tribe:
A modality aimed at relieving pain, enhancing blood flow, reducing stiffness & bringing ease to range of motion
It may not feel like a big warm hug (at times), however applying the varying levels of intensity smooched amongst relaxing massage strokes will deliver a healing & nurturing session

Dear Tribe
An interesting fact that I have come across in my scheduling App....
89 Pregnancy Massages since I commenced this nurturing modality!
That's 110+ hours of bliss within the Lavender Room.
A highlight for me during these sessions is the casual topics of conversation, namely acknowledging the discomforts of pregnancy (hips, low back, shoulder blades, neck....), the lack of gusto in partners attempts to massage said areas of discomfort 😁 and the vulnerabilities, hopes, fears & reflections on both previous and impending birth experiences! Truly one of my most treasured interactions that I feel blessed to provide as a massage therapist & midwife!

Opportunities for appointments are a little scarce due to shifts, training and professional development in my midwifery, immunising & massage professions.....plus also honouring supporting my family in their important life goals (Uni placement, Apprenticeship, Yr 12 exams, Golf handicap).

I have decided not to 'mix' my days, therefore NO massage appointments at the end of an immunising/midwifery shift and NO evening appointments = more life/work balance leading through to Christmas. My aim is to have longevity in my ability to perform exceptional massage sessions for my valued Tribe and show up 100% in all aspects of life x
