Here at Ferrers we pride ourselves on excellence and patient focussed service. Our 3 Partners , 2 Associates and 3 Registrars offer the community a wide range of health services. We also have a branch clinic operating at Port MacDonnell 1 afternoons per week for those residents. Our fully computerised practice offers remote access to doctors visiting nursing homes and for doctors home use. We have a Broadband system and use Intranet extensively within the clinic.

Thank you for everything you do — the seen, the unseen, and the “how are they doing 47 things at once without combusting?” moments. You are the face of the clinic, the voice on the phone, the keeper of the schedules, finder of missing paperwork, and unofficial therapist to everyone having that kind of day.

You welcome patients with a smile, calm the chaos, juggle phones like a circus act, and somehow still remember everyone’s name. Whether patients are arriving nervous, leaving relieved, or receiving difficult news, your kindness and compassion make more difference than you probably realise.

Clinics would fall apart without you — literally, there would just be confused people standing around holding forms. 😂

As our clinic continues to grow, we are looking for another nurse to join our team.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing team in a busy medical clinic in Mount Gambier on a permanent part-time basis.

About the Role:
This is a varied and fast-paced position supporting our clinical team in delivering high-quality patient care. The successful applicant will work part-time hours on a permanent basis, with some flexibility available.
Key Responsibilities

Providing high-quality nursing care to patients
Assisting doctors with procedures and treatments
Performing clinical tasks such as wound care, immunisations, ECGs, and chronic disease management
Building meaningful relationships with patients

About You:
Experience is valued, but we warmly welcome applications from motivated candidates with transferable skills and a genuine interest in the role or willingness to work within general practice.

Current AHPRA registration as an EN or RN

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced team environment
Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach

BetterConsult is here!!!!

We're excited to announce that some of our doctors at our practice now trialling to use BetterConsult to help you get the most out of your appointment.

BetterConsult is a "smart" pre-consultation questionnaire that asks the questions your doctor usually asks about the reason for your visit.

It then prepares a summary for your doctor.

What does this mean for you?
By knowing this information at the start of your appointment, your doctor can spend more of your time focussed on addressing your healthcare needs.
Filling out BetterConsult prior to your appointment also helps you think through what you would like to address with your doctor.

How does it work?
You will receive an SMS from our practice the day before your appointment (or immediately if your appointment is within 24 hours of booking) with a link to your pre-consultation questionnaire.
When you receive the SMS, simply
1. Click the secure link in the SMS
2. Complete the BetterConsult questionnaire

WE ARE HIRING:
Medical receptionist position available.

With our doctor team expanding, we are looking for a passionate Medical Receptionist to join us at Ferrers Medical Clinic.

A permanent part-time position is now available (30–36 hours per week, with flexibility to cover additional hours if required).

About the Role
As our Front Desk Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in keeping the clinic running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:
Answering phone calls, liaising with patients, and scheduling appointments
Preparing invoices and receipts, handling cash and EFTPOS
Maintaining strict patient confidentiality
Welcoming and assisting patients at the front desk
Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
Acting as a liaison between doctors, patients, and allied health professionals
Communicating appointment changes, referrals, and test requirements

Skills & Experience
Experience is not necessary — a strong willingness to learn is essential
Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, email systems)
Experience with Best Practice Medical Software is an advantage but not required

About you:
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and professional presentation
A great team player who supports colleagues
Highly organised, efficient, and reliable
Able to multitask and work well under pressure
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and grow in the role
Open to undertaking additional study or training if required

CPR Certificate
Working With Children Check
Police Check
