We promise you - we might look like we are having fun, but WE ARE WORKING.
Here at 1Stop, we use a sensory play-based approach to therapy. Through play, children explore different textures, movements, and activities that support their development in a natural and engaging way.
While children are busy playing, they are also working on important skills such as:
🖐️ Fine motor skills
⚖️ Sensory regulation
🧠 Attention and learning
🤝 Social interaction
💪 Strength and coordination
Play is how children learn best. By following their interests and incorporating sensory experiences, we can help build the foundations they need for everyday tasks at home, school, and in the community.
So yes - it looks like fun… because learning should be! 🌈

Why Screening for DDH Before 2 Weeks Matters

Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH) is a condition where a baby’s hip joint does not develop properly. The good news? When detected early, it’s usually very treatable.

🩺 Why screen before 2 weeks?

🔹 Early detection = simpler treatment
If DDH is identified in the first days of life, treatment may only require a soft brace to guide the hip into the correct position.

🔹 Babies grow fast
The earlier the hip is positioned correctly, the better it can develop as the baby grows.

🔹 Prevents long-term problems
Untreated DDH can lead to walking difficulties, hip pain, early hip replacement or early arthritis later in life.

🔹 Non-invasive checks
Screening in the newborn period involves gentle physical examination of the hips and an ultrasound.

💡 The takeaway:
A quick hip check within the first 2 weeks can make a lifelong difference. Early screening helps ensure babies grow with strong, healthy hips.
