Red Cross Limestone Coast

Red Cross Limestone Coast Red Cross Staff, Volunteers and Branch Members all working hard together to provide support and servi Independence
The Movement is independent.

The Red Cross has been an integral part of the Limestone Coast community for a century. Today people are involved with Red Cross through local Branches in Naracoorte, Mundulla, Kingston, Southend and Kalangadoo, as volunteers in regional towns and through membership of the Australian Red Cross. As the Red Cross moves into it's second century we are aiming to bring together all of these groups into a strong Red Cross Movement. If you are interested in becoming involved please contact the Limestone Coast Red Cross office on 87253622

Services offered by the Red Cross on the Limestone Coast include Transport for your medical appointments, shopping, social or other service needs, Telecross, a daily wellbeing call, and Emergency Services support. In all activities our volunteers, members and staff are guided by the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Humanity
The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, born of a desire to bring assistance without discrimination to the wounded on the battlefield, endeavours, in its international and national capacity, to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. Its purpose is to protect life and health and ensure respect for the human being. It promotes mutual understanding, friendship, co-operation and lasting peace amongst all people. Impartiality
It makes no discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. It endeavours to relieve the suffering of individuals, being guided solely by their needs, and to give priority to the most urgent cases of distress. Neutrality
In order to continue to enjoy the confidence of all, the Movement may not take sides in hostilities or engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature. The National Societies, while auxiliaries in the humanitarian services of their governments and subject to the laws of their respective countries, must always maintain their autonomy so that they may be able at all times to act in accordance with the principles of the Movement. Voluntary service
It is a voluntary relief movement not prompted in any manner by desire for gain. Unity
There can be only one Red Cross or Red Crescent Society in any one country. It must be open to all. It must carry on its humanitarian work throughout its territory. Universality
The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, in which all Societies have equal status and share equal responsibilities and duties in helping each other, is worldwide.

This little one’s smile says it all.

Meet his new best mate — a Trauma Teddy, lovingly hand-knitted by our incredible volunteers. More than just a toy, this cuddly companion brings comfort, courage, and a sense of safety whenever it’s needed most – and, as you can see, plenty of joy too. Each teddy is a reminder that sometimes the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference.

To every volunteer who pours time, care, and kindness into every stitch — thank you. ❤️

𝐀 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫!🎉
We had an amazing time meeting the wonderful students from the South Australian Rural Medical (SARM) Program – part of Flinders University Rural and Remote Health, College of Medicine and Public Health.
It was a great opportunity to share more about the services, volunteering, and membership opportunities the Australian Red Cross offers to future medical practitioners who are passionate about making a difference in their communities.
Swipe to catch Jo Ruby being her fun and goofy self after the presentation! 😄
(See if you can spot who the goofy one in the photo is!) 👀
