Are You Already a Master and Don’t Know It?
If you’re naturally good at something, have you ever wondered whether you’ve possibly been trained in it before and just don't remember?
We all have a special gift that we bring with us into the world…
Where did it come from?
When did it start?
Some people are undeniably talented at things they’ve never been taught. For example, Mozart could write and compose music at the age of 5. How do you explain that?
And he’s not the only one. There are many stories throughout history and today of child prodigies in the arts.
For others, perhaps the talents aren’t as obvious. They are more like interests that never fade. People don’t always follow these paths as a career because they’re told they can’t make money out of them, or they don’t feel qualified enough.
I would like to challenge your thinking about this.
Have you ever studied something that you’re interested in, and been put off by it because it’s a boring course or an uninspiring teacher? You feel like you could do a better job yourself because you don’t actually learn anything you didn’t already know.
Chances are this is because you have learned it already, but in another time. Perhaps you’ve even learned something practically from a great master, rather than someone who’s just studied from books. It would be hard to feel inspired if this was the case.
Or maybe you were the teacher in another time, and by studying in this life you actually aren’t learning anything new. In fact, you’re probably more skilled and qualified to teach whatever it is than they are.
Remember, our innate gifts have come from somewhere. So if you’re discouraged, or not confident in your abilities to follow a passion, trust your inner guidance to direct you on the right path, because all that knowledge is inside you.
You just have to reach out and own it.
