✨ MOVE IT – Pilates & Yoga Classes Update ✨

We’re excited to have our MOVE IT classes back soon! Due to earlier water damage, classes are now restarting the week beginning Monday 26 January, with the first Pilates class on Thursday 29 .

These are gentle, community-based classes designed to be accessible and supportive for all bodies. The pace and focus are intentionally slower and simpler than a regular studio class, so people with no experience can come along and enjoy the benefits.

📱 New Booking Process – PLEASE READ
All classes now require online booking via our website before attending. This is the only way to secure your spot for a class.

Here’s how bookings work:
• There are 20 spots per class
• Once a class is full, bookings will close automatically
• Bookings open EVERY SUNDAY for the week ahead only
• You cannot book weeks in advance in order to be fair to all

When you arrive at class, we’ll check you in from the online booking list, so please make sure you’re booked in BEFORE you come.

🧘‍♀️ What to Bring
Please bring your own yoga/pilates mat and wear comfortable clothing.

We’re starting back on the 27th of January and we’ll be easing back in gently, no rush, no expectations, just time to reconnect with our practice.

If you’re new to yoga, please know this: you don’t need to be flexible, you don’t need experience and you don’t need to know what a yoga pose looks like. You simply show up as you are.

Yoga is about so much more than the physical side. Yes, it can help with strength, mobility, and balance but it also supports your mental health, your nervous system and your ability to slow down, breathe and feel more at ease in yourself.

Taking up yoga was one of the best things I’ve ever done. It’s helped me not just on the mat, but in everyday life , in how I cope, move, rest and show up.

If you’ve been thinking about starting, or returning after a break, this is a really lovely time to do so. We’ll begin gently, build gradually and do it together🤍

After a little time away coming back to the mat can feel surprisingly meaningful. When we step back into practice we often notice just how much yoga supports us , not just physically but in how we move through our days, our thoughts and our emotions.
There’s no need to pick up where you left off. Simply coming back is enough. It gives us an opportunity to reconnect, breathe and return to what supports you.

🌿 New Yin Yoga Class – Tuesdays 🌿

A new Yin Yoga class is starting on Tuesdays at the studio.

I’m often asked about the difference between Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga, so here’s a little clarity especially as we already offer Restorative Yoga on Sundays.

Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice where poses are held for several minutes. Props may be used to support the body or to help you find an appropriate depth, but the intention is still to apply gentle, healthy stress to the deeper connective tissues. Sensation is expected, though always within a safe and manageable range.

Restorative Yoga by contrast uses props to fully support the body with no stretching or effort. The focus is deep rest and nervous system regulation rather than tissue loading.

This Tuesday Yin class is ideal if you’re looking for a practice that is slow and grounding, encourages stillness and awareness and supports mobility without being purely passive or fully effort-free.
