Gidgee Healing Gidgee Healing is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in the North West and Lower Gulf regions of Queensland.

Gidgee Healing provides a range of comprehensive primary healthcare services, including GP, nursing, allied health, mental health, family health care, healthy lifestyle promotion and education. Gidgee Healing's vision is to make a significant and growing contribution towards achieving equity in health outcomes for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of Mount Isa and the other communities in our geographic service area.

Each community has slightly different hours, so please check the posters attached for your local clinic’s details.

To avoid any disruptions over the holiday period, please visit your clinic over the coming weeks to organise your medications, repeat scripts and any health needs before closures begin.

Our Pioneer Clinic is currently experiencing a power outage this morning. If you have an appointment booked today, you may be directed to our Burke Street Clinic instead.

Ergon is on site working to restore power as quickly as possible. We’ll provide an update as soon as everything is back up and running.

Swipe to see the dates during June when our Allied Health team are visiting your community.

This month, the Gidgee Healing specialists will be visiting Mornington Island, Normanton and Doomadgee to deliver the following Allied Health services:
• Occupational therapy – help your ability to do everyday activities
• Optometry – help with vision
• Podiatry - helping look after your feet
• Physiotherapy - helping restore movement and function
• Dietitian - (healthy eating)

Call or visit your local Gidgee Healing clinic to get a GP referral to see one of our specialists.
