🌿 Social Worker Visiting Doomadgee – 24th & 27th March

Gidgee Healing’s Social & Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Social Worker will be visiting Doomadgee Clinic on Tuesday 24th March and Friday 27th March 2026.

Our team is here to provide culturally safe, confidential support for community members who may need someone to talk to or assistance with a range of social and wellbeing concerns.

Support available includes:
• Emotional support & counselling
• Su***de prevention & aftercare
• Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) support
• Advocacy and referrals to services
• Help with housing, Centrelink and other supports
• Youth and family support

📣 Community Notice – Doomadgee Patient Transport 📣

Gidgee Healing would like to advise the Doomadgee community that due to the limited diesel supply currently in the community, we will need to temporarily limit patient transport to the clinic using Gidgee Healing vehicles.

During this time, transport will only be approved for essential circumstances, such as patients requiring wheelchair transport or those with significant mobility difficulties.

If you are able to travel to the clinic independently, we kindly ask that you make your own way to your appointment where possible.

We understand this may cause some inconvenience and appreciate the community’s patience and understanding while diesel supplies remain limited.

The Gidgee Healing Clinic in Doomadgee will be closed for Sorry Business.

Gidgee Healing will be closed from 8:30am-1:00pm

We will re-open Monday 2 March from 1:00pm - 5:00pm.

ALLIED HEALTH SCHEDULE – MARCH 2026

Swipe to see the dates during March when our Allied Health team are visiting your community.

This month, the Gidgee Healing specialists will be visiting
Mornington Island and Normanton to deliver the following Allied Health services:
• Occupational therapy – help your ability to do everyday activities
• Optometry – help with vision
• Physiotherapy - helping restore movement and function
• Dietitian - (healthy eating)

Call or visit your local Gidgee Healing clinic to get a GP referral to see one of our specialists.
