Can you believe we’re already at the end of July?! This year is absolutely flying by… and the wildest part? We’ll be welcoming a brand new baby in just a few weeks.

Days feel long, but somehow the weeks disappear in the blink of an eye. Trying to soak in every little moment before everything changes again — in the most beautiful way.

Homeschooling looks different every day.
Some days flow with structure, other days we just follow the rhythm of whatever shows up — and right now, not much is happening at all. And that’s okay.

We’re in a season of adjusting, slowing down, and simply being.
No deadlines. No pressure. No need to be anywhere or tick boxes.
Just listening to what each of us needs and honouring that.

This is learning too — learning to rest, to adapt, to trust the process.

Being the default parent means you’re the one they call for—especially when they’re sick. You’re the one up through the night, holding the bucket, checking the temp, running on broken sleep and cuddles.

This week I’ve got Sol home while the others are at their dad’s. He’s unwell and just wanted Mum. It’s exhausting, but it’s also a quiet reminder of the comfort we bring just by being there.

To all the default parents—you’re doing an incredible job.

We are officially halfway through the year — how did that happen?!

Seriously… where has the time gone? It feels like I blinked and suddenly we’re in July. Anyone else feel like the second half of the year always flies even faster?

Before we know it, we’ll be making plans for 2026… and honestly, that’s a wild thought.

So here’s your reminder to pause, check in with yourself, and make sure you’re actually living — not just letting the days slip by. What’s one thing you still want to do before this year is over?

Let’s not let it all pass in a blur

We weren’t put on this earth just to work jobs we dread, counting down the hours until the weekend.
But for some reason, many of us end up staying in roles that drain us — simply because we feel like we have to.

Yes, bills need paying. Responsibilities are real. But so is your happiness. So is your health. So is your purpose.

You’re allowed to choose work that lights you up.
You’re allowed to pivot, start over, or dream bigger.
You’re allowed to build a life where your job aligns with who you are — not just what you can tolerate.

This is your reminder: staying in a job that feels wrong is not your only option. You’re capable of more, and you’re allowed to want more.

Do you ever feel like there’s more to life, but you’re stuck on repeat?

That’s exactly where I’m at right now. Waking up, going through the motions, ticking the boxes—but deep down, craving more. More purpose. More freedom. More alignment.

Don’t get me wrong—I love spending my days with my kids, but doing it somewhere else would be amazing. A new view. A fresh pace. Something different to breathe life back into our rhythm.

Honestly, I love change. I need it. I crave it. It’s where I feel most alive. I’ve realised this pattern I’m in isn’t just a rut… it’s a nudge. A sign that change is needed. That growth is calling. And as uncomfortable as change can be, staying stuck feels harder.

So here I am—naming it, feeling it, and slowly choosing to shift. Because the life I want doesn’t live inside my comfort zone.

If you’re feeling the same, know you’re not alone. Maybe this is your sign too

I love that homeschooling means our days can look exactly the way we want them to.

If we don’t feel like being anywhere—we don’t have to be. The boys wake when their bodies are ready, and there’s no mad rush out the door. No school bells. No packed lunches. Just a slow, intentional start to the day, together.

We move with our own rhythm, follow our curiosities, and lean into what feels good for us as a family.

Are you a homeschooling family too? Or are you sitting on the fence about it?

Honestly—this freedom, this time together, this gentle pace—it’s something I’ll never take for granted.

Before I walk out the door each day, I reach for my little lineup of calm, clarity, and grounded energy:
- Patchouli – keeps me grounded and present
- Stress Away – melts the tension before it even starts
- Sacred Mountain – my personal boundary setter; strong, peaceful energy
- Frankincense – centres my mind and lifts my spirit

These oils aren’t just scents—they’re support. They remind me to breathe, to slow down, and to show up as the woman and mum I want to be.

It takes less than a minute, but it sets the tone for my whole day. And when life gets chaotic (because mumlife), this little ritual helps bring me back to myself.

Do you have a daily go-to blend? Or want to create one?
I’d love to help you find your perfect mix.

CHANGE YOUR WATER, CHANGE YOUR LIFE

Let’s talk about something that impacts your energy, your skin, your gut health, and even your home…
WATER.

Not all water is created equal — and that’s where Kangen Water steps in.

Here’s a quick breakdown:

2.5 pH (Strong Acidic Water)
Natural disinfectant. Great for cleaning surfaces, toothbrushes, wounds, even veggies.

6.0 pH (Beauty Water)
A toner for your skin and hair. Softens, refreshes, and brings your glow back.

8.5–9.5 pH (Drinking Water)
Hydrates at a cellular level. Supports gut health, detox, energy and alkalinity.

11.5 pH (Strong Kangen Water)
A powerful emulsifier. Removes pesticides from fruits and veggies—just soak and rinse!

Kangen is more than a machine.
It’s a lifestyle shift

While everyone’s getting ready to head back to school, we’re getting ready to venture out into public spaces again.

One of the quirks of homeschooling life is we tend to hibernate during school holidays and weekends to dodge the crowds and the chaos! Anyone else do this too?

It’s always a bit of a shift—playgrounds get quieter, parking’s easier, and suddenly the world feels a little more peaceful. Looking forward to those midweek adventures again!

School is an extension of the government.
Homeschool is an extension of the home.

One follows a system.
The other follows the heart.

One size fits all vs. tailored to the child.
Obedience vs. curiosity.
Conformity vs. freedom.

When we homeschool, we aren’t just teaching subjects — we’re nurturing souls.
Raising thinkers.
Keeping childhood sacred.
