🌱✨Meet Anna ✨🌱

Hi! I’m Anna, I’m a mum of two beautifully divergent kiddos. I have always loved outdoors, camping and hands on learning. We have moved to homeschooling several years ago when school wasn’t working for my kids, and have loved the learning that can occur outdoors and in child led approaches.
 
I have come from a background of working with kids and families in trauma, to completion of my Psychology registration and working independently within this, specialising in kids and neurodiversity. With this, and with rearing my own kiddos, have moved much more towards low demand approaches supporting child independence and self direction, knowing how much our kids thrive with this.
 
Bush Magic’s approach perfectly dovetails with my personal ethos and values, so when my kiddos started attending, it felt like a perfectly great place to be!

Training days = better bush days 🌳

At Bush Magic, keeping our skills and knowledge up to date is a priority and ongoing learning is so important. Our team refreshed their CPR training with the wonderful crew from

We also spent time revisiting the hands-on skills that are central to our programs — practicing archery, toolwork, ziplining and all the fun, adventurous experiences that we offer. This ongoing training ensures consistency across all of our programs, strong risk awareness, and confident facilitation of safe, meaningful risky play that supports children’s growth, resilience and independence.

Most importantly, it was a chance to reconnect as a team at the start of the year, and step back into the bush feeling refreshed, aligned and ready for another big year of adventure after a well-deserved break.

This program is designed for parents, grandparents or other carers to attend with children who are not yet old enough to be enrolled in our Bush School Program but who still wish to be part of our supportive and vibrant community.

Our Nature Immersion Community Program is designed to encourage connection between parent, child and community, to build relationships with like minded families, experience the beauty of our natural environment and tune into the natural rhythm of mother earth.

This is Mark Holder-Keeping — passionate, playful, wildly talented, and the kind of musical genius who radiates joy every time he picks up an instrument🎷✨

This video was taken on Saturday at the Honk! Festival, where Mark was joyously and expertly soloing — completely in his element, sharing music the way it’s meant to be shared: with heart, humour, and total presence.

🌱 After School Program — Wollongong Botanic Gardens

Our After School Program runs on Wednesdays, at the beautiful Wollongong Botanic Gardens.

Throughout Terms 3 & 4 in 2025, we explored the gardens and discovered so much about the incredible plants and animals that call this place home. Now with summer in the air, there’s even more to see — from fresh buds and blossoms to birds busy building nests.

Children enjoy some of our favourite Bush School activities, while also diving deeper into the wonders of our local ecosystems. They’re learning to love nature, recognise the cycles of growth and renewal, and understand the interdependent relationships that keep our environment thriving.

Our after school program offers children the opportunity to get out into nature after a day at school to burn off energy, play freely, use their imaginations and experoience some adventure and skill building with a difference.

It’s the perfect mix of fun, exploration, and connection with the natural world.
