It's important to me that you feel as comfy as possible while you're waiting to see me, and while we're in my office.

I have lots of sensory sensitivities which can give me migraine, so I understand how these things can have a real impact.

If there's anything else I can do, let me know.

Hollie finished with us last week, and is now having a well deserved rest before her baby arrives. Many of you have asked me what is happening with reception, and the answer is that I'll be doing the admin myself.

Tarika, Hollie and I have worked hard over the past four years to automate and streamline the admin procedures, so it's now very easy for me to manage.

You can still contact me by phone or email, and if you need to contact me about changing a same day appointment then I'd suggest texting me, as I check the phone more often than the email. The only difference will be on Wednesday, which is my day off, so text and email messages won't be seen until Thursday.

Do you have a food pusher in your family - someone who tries to force food on you, or make you eat out of guilt?

You can eat whatever you want, but you also have the right (and need) to say no to food that you don't want to eat. If that's tricky or you don't know what to say, try these ideas.

It's International Women's Day tomorrow - I'm doing this today while I have some free time.

The theme this year is about advancing women and inclusivity, and I think one of the ways we can advance is by seeing ourself as more than our appearance, knowing we have more to contribute are capable of so much more than being thin, pretty or perfect.

In Australia, we have more people dying from eating disorders than from car accidents. Imagine the services we could offer if we had the same funding as the road safety campaigns!

Help with eating, weight, body image

We have a particular interest in helping people improve their relationship with eating and food, or improving their body image. We support people who under eat or restrict food including dieting, those who comfort eat, those who over eat or binge eat, and those who have a combination of disordered eating patterns, such as bingeing then restricting. We use evidence-based therapies such as CBT- eating disorders, Health At Every Size and Intuitive Eating. We also work with people who have anxiety, depression and a range of other concerns using mindfulness based therapies. We see teens and parents, adults and families. Our opening times and fees vary, so check our website for the most up to date information.
