Introducing Lia, one of our latest Living Values Award winners. ✨🧑

Lia, a registered nurse from our third floor surgical ward was nominated by a patient for the exceptional care she provided. When describing Lia, her manager said that "Lia's attention to detail is on another level when advocating for patient and caregiver safety. She is someone I can truly rely on and she is an essential member of our surgical nursing team."

Please join us in congratulating Lia on this well deserved recognition!

Patients from our Ursula Frayne Unit recently rolled up their sleeves to help plant a brand-new garden bed filled with fresh veggies and herbs thanks to the team at Bayswater Bunnings Warehouse Australia. πŸ…πŸŒΏ

Research shows that gardening can make a huge difference to the mental health of older adults and the patients are loving this new addition to their outdoor space.

The homegrown goodies will be used to create meals during patient group cooking sessions that will be consumed during afternoon tea and at the monthly ward BBQs!

A huge shoutout to our amazing Occupational Therapist, Courtney who took the initiative to reach out to team member Sherri at Bunnings to make this project possible. ✨🧑

🧸 Spreading comfort to little ones across WA.

Recently we donated a collection of our Lawley Bears to Little Things for Tiny Tots, a not-for-profit that supports 80 social service agencies working with WA mums and bubs in need.

The bears are now finding new homes inside baby boxes filled with essential items for families facing challenging circumstances β€” including those experiencing homelessness, financial hardship, and domestic violence.

Thanks to this incredible charity, our bears are bringing comfort to little ones all across WA β€” from Perth to Roebourne, Leonora, Hedland, and Geraldton. 🧑

⭐ Our Catering team are our Stars of the Week ⭐

From the kitchen to the bedside, this team goes above and beyond to provide patients with an exceptional food service. They regularly receive feedback from patients for their friendly service and delicious meals.

Proving how adaptable they are, recently when a shift back to a manual ordering process was needed, the team rose to the challenge and continued to deliver a high standard of food service.

Congratulations team on achieving this week's star status!! πŸ‘

After an incredible 41 years of service, we say farewell to Storeperson, Pete Mulder.

Pete began his journey back in 1984, when the hospital was still known as St Anne's. He has been a true cornerstone ever since.

A testament to Pete’s excellent health, he is retiring with 2,488 hours (327 days) of unused sick leave. 😲

Outside of work, Pete's passions are his family, his dog and his beloved football team, the Fremantle Dockers, and we hope retirement gives him plenty more time to enjoy them all. πŸ’œ

Thank you, Pete, for your decades of hard work, dedication and friendship to so many. We wish you all the very best.

Do you have any fond memories or messages of thanks for Pete? Leave them in the comments below. πŸ‘‡

It truly was a TOTES RAD night!πŸŽ‰ Here's a little recap of the laughs, the fabulous outfits and all the fun moments from our annual 'Through the Decades' Quiz Night. It was a wonderful chance for our caregivers to step away from the wards and enjoy themselves. 🧑

A big thank you to Alexander Park Tennis Club for hosting us!
