🌱 Transformative supervision goes beyond oversight. It’s a collaborative process that prioritises trust, reflection, and professional growth.

At Lifeworks OT, our supervisors are committed to creating safe and supportive spaces where practitioners can explore challenges, strengthen resilience, and develop deeper confidence in their practice.

We believe supervision should not just maintain competency, but foster long-term fulfilment and growth.🌀

It’s Women’s Health Week 🤍

This year’s theme from is all about shining a light on women’s unique health needs and making sure no one feels alone on the journey.

At LifeWorks OT, we know that women’s health spans every stage of life. That’s why we offer support through our Perinatal Mental Health and Family Support service, walking alongside women and families during the big transitions of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.

We’re also excited to share that we’re soon launching a Women’s Wellness Occupational Therapy service, this will become a space dedicated to supporting women’s wellbeing in practical, holistic, and meaningful ways.

Because women deserve support that helps them thrive, not just get by.

Meet Mitch⚡️

Our Occupational Therapist bringing a fresh, tech-forward approach to therapy.

Mitch has a special interest in supporting adolescents and young adults with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and persistent pain. With experience across both mental health and disability, he brings a creative and person-first mindset to every session.

He’s especially passionate about using emerging tech like virtual reality to support wellbeing and engagement in therapy. His sessions often blend innovation with practical strategies to help clients feel more confident, capable, and connected.

Outside of work, you’ll find him playing sports, catching up with mates, gaming, or getting stuck into a good book.

Mental health OTs are starting to get the recognition they’ve long deserved and we’re so glad to see it.

This post was inspired by an article written by Michelle Oliver, Chief OT at Occupational Therapy Australia, published in Medical Forum.

She highlights the unique role mental health OTs can play alongside psychological support - offering practical, everyday strategies that promote mental wellbeing and support functional recovery.

We’re grateful to see more awareness growing in this space.

If you're a GP, health provider, or someone seeking support we’d love to chat. Learn more at the link in our bio.

At LifeWorks OT, we know there’s no single way to think, feel, or move through the world and we don’t expect there to be.

Our approach is:
🧠 Respectful of neurodivergent identities
🛠 Adapted to individual needs
🤝 Collaborative, with shared decision-making
🌱 Focused on autonomy, especially for kids and teens

We work alongside you (or your child) to figure out what’s getting in the way and then build strategies together that actually make life easier.

No fixing. No forcing. Just support that makes sense for you.

Meet Holly. Occupational therapist and all-round legend.🌟

With a background in disability and mental health, Holly brings a unique mix of clinical insight and lived experience to her work. She’s especially passionate about supporting people living with chronic pain, hearing loss, neurodivergence, and complex mental health. Her focus is helping people reconnect with what makes life meaningful.

Since joining LifeWorks in 2020, Holly has supported a wide range of NDIS, Medicare, and private clients through her “mind and body” approach.

Outside the clinic you’ll find her swing dancing around Perth or relaxing on the couch watching DIY videos (but never actually doing any).
