We are still seeking interest in our weekly Creative Expression Art Group.🎨

This group offers a relaxed, supportive space to explore creativity as a way to regulate, reflect, and connect. You don’t need to be “creative” or have any prior experience. The focus isn’t on the outcome, but on the process.

Engaging in creative expression can support emotional regulation, reduce stress, improve focus, and provide new ways to process experiences that are difficult to put into words.

For many people, it’s also a chance to slow down, feel grounded, and connect with others in a low-pressure group setting.

Activities may include painting, paper mâchÊ, origami, and other creative mediums, guided by our Occupational Therapy Assistant, Hannah.

When: Every Tuesday
Time: 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Where: 150 Walcott St, Mount Lawley
Cost: $50 per session (NDIS funding available)

To register your interest, please contact reception:

There is hope for recovery.

Jacintha Bell, founder of LifeWorks OT, reminds us that healing doesn’t start with fixing or explaining away pain.

It starts with being believed, being heard, and working together in a way that respects your lived experience.💙

3–9 February is Tinnitus Awareness Week.

Many of our clients living with chronic conditions and/or persistent pain are also navigating chronic tinnitus. It’s often invisible, frequently misunderstood, and can add another layer of fatigue, stress, and overwhelm to everyday life.

At LifeWorks OT, we regularly support people where tinnitus is part of a broader picture.

Our work focuses on understanding how tinnitus interacts with pain, mental health, sleep, and the nervous system, and supporting people to manage its impact on daily life.

Tinnitus doesn’t exist in isolation, and support shouldn’t either.

You can find more information, education, and resources here:
https://soundfair.org.au/tinnitus-awareness/

If tinnitus is part of your experience, you’re not alone and support is available.

Practical, strengths-based support for neurodivergent people.

At LifeWorks OT, we work with children (10+), teens, and adults who are neurodivergent, including people with ADHD, Autism, OCD, and Tourette’s.

Our focus isn’t on fixing or masking neurodivergence. It’s on supporting people to navigate daily life in ways that feel manageable, sustainable, and meaningful.

We work alongside individuals to build self-understanding, support everyday function, and create routines and environments that actually work for them.

Re-establishing routines after the holidays doesn’t need to be sudden or perfect.
Start small and focus on what supports you.

Try this:
• choose one anchor routine (morning, workday start, or evening)
• keep it simple and repeatable
• build it around sleep, meals, movement, or connection
• allow extra time and lower expectations at first

Small, consistent routines can help daily life feel steadier and more manageable as you ease back into the year.

The Australian summer can be especially challenging for people living with POTS. Heat can amplify symptoms and make everyday tasks feel far more demanding.

Occupational therapy support focuses on how POTS impacts daily life. From adjusting routines and managing energy, to building practical skills that support participation through the warmer months.

Support is holistic, flexible, and grounded in real-world strategies that fit your life and environment.☀️
