Just wanted to let you all know that we are in for some wild weather๐ towards the end of this week. Regardless of where Cyclone Alfred crosses land, anywhere South will be drenched ๐ง & battered with wind ๐ฌ and that is most likely us on the GC. We will be keeping a close eye on the system and weather updates. We have started rescheduling Thursday and Friday appointments.
Take care, stay safe & check in on each other. ๐

TC Alfreds rain forecast is very big! The heaviest rain is expected from late Thursday especially on Friday and Saturday. All areas from the Sunshine Coast south to Coffs Harbour inland to the ranges are likely to see totals of 250-500mm but it is very possible we could see some huge falls up to 1000mm especially on the southern side of the system (red circle). Just west of the ranges on the Darling Downs / Granite Belt and Northern Tablelands could also see some very decent rainfall over 100mm. Flash flooding, dangerous rapid flooding & major river / creek flooding from this system could become a real serious issue and we have HIGH flood risk maps issued in the subscribers portal for that.
LISMORE "just take a deep breath & stay calm" you will get plenty of lead-time and warnings if it looks like being a major flood or the levee might breach. People in upstream catchments share your reports during a flood event it really helps those downstream too!
*Flood prone areas - take precautions now ahead of time. Have enough supplies to last 3-5 days and move livestock to higher ground. Be ready to receive and act on stern advice or evacuations if needed*
