🚨 Important Announcement: Updates from Dr. Renae Aesthetics 🚨

Hey everyone, I wanted to address some recent changes you may have noticed regarding our posts and reels. Some of our content has been removed, and I’m here to explain why.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has recently updated their guidelines surrounding the advertising of prescription-only medications. Terms like “antiwrinkle injections” and “dermal filler,” which were previously acceptable, are no longer permitted. Additionally, before and after photos are also no longer allowed.

These updates are all about ensuring patient safety, and that’s something I’m incredibly passionate about. The focus of aesthetic or cosmetic treatments should always prioritise the safety and well-being of patients.

At Dr. Renae Aesthetics, my commitment to providing medical professional-led consultations remains unchanged. These consultations are designed to determine the best treatments for each individual, tailored to their unique needs and goals. ☀️ Your Guide for Sunscreen Selection! ☀️

1️⃣ SPF Matters: The SPF (Sun Protection Factor) number is your first checkpoint! Higher SPF means more protection. Aim for at least SPF 30 to shield against UVB rays, and if you’re out in intense sun, go higher.

2️⃣ Broad Spectrum: Opt for a sunscreen labeled “Broad Spectrum.” This means it guards against both UVB (burning) and UVA (ageing) rays, offering all-around protection.

3️⃣ Water Resistance: If you’ll be swimming or sweating, pick a water-resistant formula. It’ll stay put and keep you protected longer, but remember to reapply after towel-drying.

4️⃣ Skin Type Matters: Consider your skin type when choosing the sunscreen base. If you have oily skin, go for a gel or oil-free option; dry skin types may prefer creams or lotions.
