💧 Today’s hydrating blue smoothie:
Coconut water 🌴
Frozen pineapple 🍍
Blue spirulina 💙

Throat chakra healing come at me!

Blue spirulina (apart from making pretty blue lagoon vibes mocktails) has vitamins E, C, and B6 to help maintain a healthy immune system. It also boosts the production of white blood cells and antibodies that fight viruses and bacteria in your body. It also acts as a potent detoxifier, effectively chelating and removing various toxins including mercury, arsenic, radioactive substances, cadmium, pesticides, and environmental carcinogens from the body.

Pineapple and coconut water have quite the lengthy list of health benefits too. Maybe Danielle Hunter from Earth Valley Massage was onto something when she encouraged me to start delaying or foregoing my daily morning soy latte ☕️…. 💭

“If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.”
— Chinese Proverb

Sometimes the message is simple, but not always easy.

We say we want more peace, more ease, more flow…
But we stay in the same patterns.
The same pace.
The same clutter — in our homes, our minds, our relationships.

✨ True change requires a conscious pause.
✨ A moment to look honestly at the path you’re walking…
✨ And ask: Is this really taking me where I want to go?

This isn’t about shame.
It’s about choice.

You are allowed to change course.
You are allowed to realign.
You are allowed to stop, reflect, and pivot toward the life your soul is craving.

And it all begins with awareness.

What’s one small shift you could make today that would move you closer to where you actually want to go?

Yes. I also do sound healings with my Rainbow Sounds set of 7x white crystal singing bowls 🥣 I’ve actually been a crystal healing and chakra balancing practitioner longer than I’ve been a massage therapist 🤍

Whilst these 7x bowls were originally purchased to play for my own enjoyment and to complement and incorporate into my chakra balancing practice. Friends, colleagues and collaborators soon enticed me to include them in workshops, retreats and sound bath resets.

I will be sharing my journey as a crystal singing bowl practitioner, along with some chakra inspired Christmas gifts, packs and inspiration this week. Next Saturday morning, I am again fortunate enough to have the opportunity to share my sounds with a sound healing and cacao ceremony 🤎 I will be weaving in a soulful collaboration with Lauren Boynton from Yinning the Yang - Naturally Balanced Living at Elevation Retreat in Wongawallan. The he things you learn watching Sunday morning Kung Fu….

Iron, steel or brass training rings used to cause stress and microfractures to the bones, which heal over time increasing bone density and strength.

Sounds like a long painful process, I don’t recommend. But fascinating (and a rare ocassion for a boy mama to see her sons running around her house wearing 10x of her bangles 🤩), although Mikah already broke 2…

Do very much recommend MCU’s “Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings” (you will need to censor, skip some scenes for little ones).

"Ossification" in the context of kung fu rings refers to the bone strengthening and hardening that occurs from the stress of using heavy rings on the arms. The rings are a traditional training tool for various kung fu styles to build strength, endurance, and conditioning. Repeated impacts and resistance from the heavy rings stimulate microfractures in the bone, which the body repairs by adding more dense calcium deposits, similar to how shin conditioning works.
How ossification from iron rings works
Stress and microfractures: The heavy weight of the rings provides resistance, and dynamic movements or strikes cause stress on the bones in the arms and wrists.
Body's adaptation: This stress triggers the body's natural healing response. It strengthens the bones by repairing these microscopic fractures with new, denser material.
Increased density: This process leads to increased bone density and strength over time, making the bones tougher and more resilient.
How the rings are used
As a weight training tool: The rings are worn on the forearms like wrist weights to build arm, shoulder, and wrist strength.
For endurance: They are used during prolonged stance training, such as the horse stance, to build endurance and focus.
For conditioning: The rings can be used to toughen the forearms and hands for blocking and striking.
For "tight fist" training: In some systems, the rings are trained to slide down the arm and impact the back of the hand after a strike, which serves as a physical reminder to maintain a tight fist.
