Chef Fay's Kitchen Chef Fay offers cooking classes in her home on Tamborine Mountain and is a chef-for-hire for dinner parties, high tea, etc.

Hand made baked goods are also available. Chef Farideh Knopf (Fay) was born in Teheran Iran. She acquired her intuition and early skills from her mother and grandmother. Coming to Australia as a refugee in 1979 and marrying in 1982, Fay began a career in professional cooking. A highlight was her time as 2nd chef in traditional but innovative Italian restaurant under a well-respected head chef. Fay began her own restaurant Zafron in Brisbane's New Farm which ran successfully for eight years. Featuring a nouveau fusion of Persian and Euro-style dishes, the restaurant was highly regarded and ranked in the top 5 on the trip advisor review site for four years being number one on many occasions. Fay has a natural instinct for flavour and balance and cuts no corners to offer her guests beautifully flavoursome dishes.

Some Photos of my Beef Wellington cooked at home for lunch today. Accompaniments are simmered asparagus, carmelised baked beetroot and a stuffed mushroom with cheese. As Persians say "Baah baah!" ( Yum yum!)
