NRG is hosting an information evening as an introduction into concussion, including the concepts of the systems affected post concussion, management of the graded return process and safe return to play post concussion, and recognition on when persistent symptoms are developing.

It’s been a while since we have advertised for a physiotherapist but with the football season in full swing and growing the service in the North we are looking for a physio to work across our Ivanhoe and Mount Waverley practices. As usual we are looking for a team member with the right fit for our NRG family. Looking forward to Katie and Miranda’s return from their whirlwind tour of the states talking all things concussion at the CISG conference, as well as visiting colleagues and their teams in Philadelphia, Denver and Los Angeles. They have been very inspired with new research and management ideas. Watch this space.

Huge day recently for the NRG and MCRI concussion team who officially opened the Children’s concussion clinic at the MCRI. Katie and the team have been a part of the Take Care team at the MCRI for over 8 years now hugely contributing to the research in recognition and recovery of kids with concussion. They recently finished off the large scale RCT.
