Just joking - it's just me - Gemma-Lee. This is a partial of my interview with BizCover as a semi-finalist for last year's BizGiver grants.

Sincere thank you to everyone. Not just those for the competition, but to the community. So many people reached out, and so many people voted.

Was I challenging myself with entering - hell, yes!!

Did I record 5+ videos and scrutinise myself - yes!

Was I worried when it was released that we wouldn't hit the goal? Absolutely!

However, the true achievement was stepping out, acknowledging that, this space is the goal - the exact 'hub' I had started creating in my mind and through conversations with other practitioners since December 2022.

A place where a client could leave the room of a single service and be directly complemented with any other service within the facility. Somewhere where people feel seen, heard, and understood. A place of ease, calm, peace, and support.

The Brightwater Wellness Hub came into my radar early October 2023, when I was laid up in hospital with a sciatica back injury for a week, while negotiating the purchase of a holistic space in Coolum. Out of nowhere (wink to the universe!), I felt inspired to check out businesses for sale just one more time.

And there it was, sounded great on paper - gotta check it out! Fast forward 2 years and here I am, reflecting on the decision to act. While it's not been without surprises, gifts that kept on giving and what felt like insurmountable challenges - here I stand, right now, giving thanks.

Thanks to the opportunity to run with it. Thanks to the people that supported. Thanks to the people that watched. Thanks to the people that started as clients and became hub family regulars. Thanks to the practitioners previous and new. Thanks to my staff. Thanks to my personal cheerleaders. And thanks to myself - the gratitude in the space of 'we are doing this!' Without a single inkling of doubt in my mind.

This is a beautiful space, and as I say with a full heart and glowing smile ~ a space is a place because of its people. It's PEOPLE - which means you, every single person reading this post ๐Ÿ™ THANK YOU
