Alison is a general practitioner and a qualified International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a special interest in newborn health, breastfeeding support, infant feeding and allergies. Ali is able to provide support in:

- Breastfeeding or infant feeding difficulties (this includes all forms of infant feeding)

- Unsettled babies

- Infant allergy concerns including eczema and food intolerances

- Solid introduction

- Paediatric feeding concerns e.g. selective eating, anxious mealtimes

- Perinatal mental health

When do you start your baby on solids?

We recommend introducing solids by 6 months but not before 4 months, but all babies will be ready in their own time.

Some signs to look out for to know if your little one is ready:
💪🏻 They are sitting and able to hold their head and neck with minimal support
🧐 They are telling you they are interested (they might be eyeing off or even starting to grab at your food)
😋 They are able to move objects to and around their mouth
