LIFESKILLS PLUS is a local, community based organisation that
has been providing first class disability services for over two
decades in the Mid West Region. We are the foremost provider of
Post School Programs, Out of School Hours Support for students
with disabilities, Respite Care and community education. For students leaving High School, we also have a Transition to
Work service with professional work readiness skills development
programs and our Community Participation Service which has a
range of programs based on personal and social skills
development. All services offered have rewarding outcomes
and provide new exciting choices for People with Disabilities.

Our woodwork program is always a favourite with our clients. 🪵💛

Spending time in the workshop gives our clients the chance to learn practical skills, work at their own pace, and feel a real sense of pride as projects come together.

From measuring and sanding to building and creating, every step supports confidence, independence, and focus.

Most of all, it’s a space filled with teamwork, creativity, and plenty of smiles.

The joy our clients get from making something with their own hands is what makes this program so special.

Wednesdays at RDA are always filled with smiles. 🐴

Our clients look forward to their horse riding sessions each week, and it’s easy to see why.

Spending time with the gentle horses, learning new skills and working alongside the wonderful RDA volunteers brings so much joy, confidence and connection.

From grooming and leading to riding around the arena, every moment helps build trust, independence and a strong sense of achievement.

It is one of the highlights of our weekly programmes and a special part of our clients’ routine.

Our team play such an important role in the lives of our clients, supporting them with patience, kindness, encouragement and genuine care.

Whether it’s assisting in programmes, joining in community outings, sharing a laugh or helping someone achieve a new goal, our staff create moments that matter.

We are so grateful for the passion and dedication they bring to their work and for the positive impact they have on our clients’ independence, confidence and wellbeing.

As we look back on the year that was, we’re reminded of just how many special moments we’ve shared.

From adventures out in the community to everyday wins, laughter, creativity and connection, 2025 has been filled with memories that truly reflect what Lifeskills Plus is all about.

Our clients and staff have made this year incredibly special, showing resilience, joy and the confidence to truly make their own kind of music.

It’s a simple routine, but an important one.

These walks encourage gentle exercise, fresh air, and time to connect before the day gets started.

Sharing this time together helps build healthy habits, confidence, and a sense of routine, all while enjoying our local community.

There’s something special about having our Christmas tree up at Lifeskills Plus. 🎄💛

Our clients have loved helping decorate it and spending time around it, and it brings such a warm and joyful feeling to our centre.

Creating an environment that feels welcoming and homely is important to us, and moments like these remind us how meaningful it is to share the festive season together.

The Christmas spirit is well and truly alive at LSP and everyone is enjoying it.

Our girls social group enjoyed a great night out at Club Mudgee, catching up, having a laugh and playing a few games of pool together. 💛

Sometimes it’s nice to break away, enjoy some girl time, and just relax in a social setting.

Outings like these support confidence, independence, and social connection, while giving our clients the chance to be active members of the community and enjoy shared experiences together.

A lovely night filled with friendship, fun and plenty of smiles.

One of our favourite moments from the Christmas pageant was hearing our clients singing Christmas carols together.

Smiles all around, plenty of laughs, and a lot of enthusiasm for Jingle Bells.

These moments are what it is all about.

Bringing people together, celebrating the season, and sharing something special with family, friends, and our wider community.

LIFESKILLS PLUS provides opportunities for people with disabilities to make their own choices, increase their confidence and skills, meet new friends and, undertake new activities- all in a safe, happy, and respectful environment.

We have been providing first class disability services for over two decades in the Mid West Region. We pride ourselves on being a leading provider of Personalised Post School Programs, Out of School Hours Support for students with disabilities, Respite Care and Excursions. We offer services in our state of the art community and respite centre in Mudgee, in the community, or in your own home. We have range of goal orientated programs based on personal and social skills development, as well as programs of interest that assist our clients to build their independence and participate in activities of their choice. All services offered have rewarding outcomes, supportive staff, and provide new exciting choices for People with Disabilities.
