LIFESKILLS PLUS is a local, community based organisation that
has been providing first class disability services for over two
decades in the Mid West Region. We are the foremost provider of
Post School Programs, Out of School Hours Support for students
with disabilities, Respite Care and community education. For students leaving High School, we also have a Transition to
Work service with professional work readiness skills development
programs and our Community Participation Service which has a
range of programs based on personal and social skills
development. All services offered have rewarding outcomes
and provide new exciting choices for People with Disabilities.

A magical night under the lights!

Our clients and staff recently travelled to the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular, and it was truly a night to remember.

Surrounded by over 4 million twinkling lights, incredible displays, and the joyful sounds of Christmas, everyone had an amazing time exploring and taking it all in.

From glowing tunnels and giant trees to festive music and laughter, it was the perfect way to celebrate the season together.

A huge thank you to the team at Hunter Valley Gardens for creating such a magical experience that brought so many smiles to our clients’ faces.

Getting into the festive spirit! 🎄

Our clients and staff had a fantastic evening out at Club Mudgee, soaking up the Christmas cheer and snapping plenty of photos with their incredible decorations!

The team at Club Mudgee have truly gone all out this year with the lights, colours, and the holiday spirit were infectious, and everyone couldn’t help but smile.

It’s moments like these sharing laughter, friendship, and festive fun that make this time of year so special.

Our clients have been busy in woodwork lately, creating something truly special for our sensory garden.

With plenty of teamwork, creativity, and care, this beautiful piece has now taken shape and been brought to life with colourful decorations and thoughtful details.

From painting and building to adding those finishing touches, every part has been made with pride.

It’s soon to take up a prime position in our garden, standing tall as a reflection of our clients’ hard work, dedication, and creativity.

A night to remember! 🎭

We’re still smiling after the incredible All Abilities Masquerade Ball held at Club Mudgee last week with our friends from Mudgee Disability Services.

The dance floor was full, the energy was high, and the joy was contagious with everyone showing off their fantastic masks, outfits, and dance moves!

It was more than just a night of fun it was a true celebration of inclusion, community, and connection, bringing people together to share laughter, music, and friendship.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this event so special.

🎭 All Abilities Masquerade Ball 2025 💃🕺

Last week, our clients, staff, and guests joined together with Mudgee Disability Services for an unforgettable evening at Club Mudgee and what a night it was!

There were dazzling outfits, creative masquerade masks, plenty of laughter, and lots of dancing as everyone came together to celebrate inclusion, friendship, and community spirit.

Events like this remind us what Lifeskills Plus is all about creating opportunities where everyone feels valued, connected, and free to celebrate who they are.

🌸 Pink Wednesdays at Lifeskills Plus! 🩷

Throughout October, our clients and staff proudly joined the community in supporting Pink Up Mudgee, wearing pink each Wednesday to help raise awareness and celebrate the amazing spirit that brings our region together.

We were also lucky to welcome wonderful volunteers from U3A, who joined us to teach line dancing an activity that had everyone moving, laughing, and smiling from ear to ear!

This was the perfect addition to our Health and Fitness program, promoting movement, social connection, and plenty of fun.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make our Wednesdays bright, active, and full of pink pride!

While Melbourne Cup celebrations might be winding down, our clients are gearing up for their own special day with the wonderful horses and volunteers at Riding for the Disabled.

Each Wednesday, our RDA sessions bring so much joy, connection, and confidence and after a week filled with talk of racing and horses, it’s extra special to see our clients enjoying their own time in the saddle!

From smiles in the stables to moments of pure pride, these sessions are all about fun, learning, and building independence through the magic of horses. 🐴

We have been providing first class disability services for over two decades in the Mid West Region. We pride ourselves on being a leading provider of Personalised Post School Programs, Out of School Hours Support for students with disabilities, Respite Care and Excursions. We offer services in our state of the art community and respite centre in Mudgee, in the community, or in your own home. We have range of goal orientated programs based on personal and social skills development, as well as programs of interest that assist our clients to build their independence and participate in activities of their choice. All services offered have rewarding outcomes, supportive staff, and provide new exciting choices for People with Disabilities.
