Therapeutic Electrostatic Oscillation (TEO), also referred to as DOT, deep oscillation therapy.

This a non- invasive, non-thermal treatment method. It is used to reduce pain, swelling and inflammation while promoting healing. It creates a gentle pulsating electrostatic filed that interacts with tissue providing a deep massage effect. It can pe*****te 8-12cm deep.

Its electrostatic field causes a friction to lift and release tissue layers, creating a deep kneading effect rather than harsh pressure.

As a therapist I can either use my hands with vinyl gloves or an applicator. Patients report just a small sensation with a soothing feeling.

The TEO is so gentle it can be used immediately after surgery or injury.

Benefits
🔹Pain Reduction- calms nerve receptors for immediate relief. Effective in chronic and acute pain.
🔹Reduced swelling- Flushes out inflammatory byproducts and stubborn fluid build up.
🔹Fibrosis management- Helps break hard tissue and improve mobility after surgery or radiation.
🔹Muscle relaxation- helps reduce muscle spasm.

Conditions Treated
🔹Musculoskeletal injury and pain
🔹Post surgical: Bruising, swelling and scarring
🔹Chronic conditions: Arthritis, fibromyalgia
🔹Lymphatic Conditions: Lymphoedema, Lipoedema

TENS v TEO- They are very different!!

Tens- use electrical currents to stimulate nerves and block pain signals.

TEO- uses electrostatic fields to create mechanical deep tissue vibration.

A few interesting facts about the Lymphatic System.

The lymphatic system is vital, extensive network of vessels, nodes and organs. It acts the body’s main drainage to remove waste and filter harmful substances from lymph fluid. It absorbs fat from the digestive system and returns excess fluid to the bloodstream, preventing tissue swelling.
