One of my favourite parts of my longer workshops is what I call Soul Mantras. This is where we sing together in a style not unlike kirtan is that it is non performative and about the joy of singing together. People are encouraged to improvise, harmonise and find their true expression and as you can see some people really allow themselves to let go and be fully expressed! Nothing brings me more joy than facilitating freedom like this!

There's something so soothing and otherwordly when we tone together in a group. Our out pouring of energy meets in the middle (especially when we are in circle) and unites us.

Our individual sound blends into the sound of each other creating a blanket of nourishment. Not only does this bring us into our rest and digest nervous system, creating calm, but also brings us into our heart and our connection to self and each other!

The body keeps the score and we can't always talk ourselves out of trauma. Some things are held in the body and don't need to have any story or intellectualisation around them. Simply energy just needs to be felt and moved out to make room in the body for what is more preferable - peace, groundeness, aliveness!

Hooray I’ll be presenting my workshop Embodied Harmony at Starlight Festival which is on Jan 1-4!

My workshop will explore ways to let go of stress, tension and anxiety using our breath, body and voice!

Our body holds the answers!

I knew it would be complimentary, but I was blown away by this collaboration with Wantungaa recently.

I brought the bodies into therapeutic tremoring and then Wantungaa took over with his sound healing!

In "Safe to Sing" we combine traditional vocal pedagy with nervous system regulation. True empowerment is knowing how to access your voice and how it works but then allowing it to flow through spontaneously from a place of safety within the body
