Disability access is something that isn't on most people's radar - until if affects you personally (yes, there are empathetic souls out there who care, but we're speaking in general).

The Access Consultative Working Group is a group of people living with disability who are ensuring planning decisions around the Byron Shire include a voice for those whose needs might be overseen.

We loved meeting them and sharing their story.

Meet Andy. He's part of a group called the Access Consultative Working Group (ACWG) at Byron Shire Council, supporting access and inclusion for people with disability in our Shire. He was also a blast to interview and we ended up speaking more about Saving Wallum than anything else! So inspiring. His longer story to follow...
