When it comes to deep healing and embodied transformation, I see two essential foundations.

Before anything else, these need to be in place.

1. Safety
Without safety, the nervous system cannot process or integrate experience.

Many of our wounds were formed in moments where safety was missing.

Safety can be cultivated through co-regulation: being with someone grounded and attuned, where the nervous system naturally settles.

And through self-regulation: spending time in nature, moving the body, and practicing grounding and breath awareness.

2. Mindfulness
Mindfulness creates space between our pain and our reactivity.

It allows us to gently unblend from our wounded parts, so we can meet them with curiosity instead of reaction.

It’s also what allows new information to be integrated in the present moment, rather than repeating old patterns.

Without mindfulness we may feel, but not necessarily transform.

Safety and mindfulness are not the whole path, but they are the ground.

And without this ground, healing and transformation struggle to take root. 💛

Somatic intuition is a skill that we can all develop.

A lot of times, when we feel confused, lost, or reactive in life, it’s because we have lost this connection to our inner knowing.

One way of developing this capacity to know ourselves and the situations in our lives from a place of truth and integrity is through somatic inquiry.

Somatic inquiry is about getting curious about the felt sense of a situation, rather than getting lost in our usual narratives about it.

This way of knowing has no preferences, stories, or reactions - it is deeply true and carries a profound sense of integrity. 💛

Inner knowledge is different from inner transformation.

Understanding a pattern within yourself doesn’t mean it will change. You can see it, name it, even speak about it clearly… and still find yourself repeating it.

Because patterns live in implicit memory, and will remain unconscious until it is brought into consciousness.

The process of bringing a pattern into consciousness happens through the felt sense in the body.

Only through directly experiencing what is being held - what lives in implicit memory - can something begin to shift.

Real change and transformation will naturally follow. 💛

The body’s natural state is wholeness.

When something is off balance, it always lets us know.

If we can learn to stay with the discomfort long enough, it will reveal its next step forward — without the need to control, change, or manipulate experience.

This is at the core of the healing process: learning to trust the organicity of the body and surrender to its own way of finding its way back home. 💛

My next Tension and Trauma Release TRE® Workshop coming up tomorrow Saturday 20th Sept 2025 in Mona Vale, NSW.

TRE® is a wonderful method that supports the release of deeply held patterns of tension, stress and even trauma. Also, it supports deepening the connection with your body and mind, leading to a greater sense of presence, grounding and ease.

👉🏻 What is TRE?

TRE consist of six gentle exercises that are designed to stress the psoas muscle that reply purely on the body’s natural ability to trigger tremors. This releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this natural mechanism is activated in a safe environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance. This therapeutic tremoring helps the body release deep muscular patterns of stress, tension, and even trauma.

The TRE Workshops are a great opportunity for you to learn and experience the TRE® method within safe environment.

See details of the session below, booking link via events section.

📍Date: Saturday 20th Sept 2025
📍Location: 63 Bassett Street, Mona vale 2103
📍Time: 10:30-12:00pm
📍Cost: $45

I would love to see you there. Come relax and unwind with me.

Self-limiting beliefs do not originate in our thoughts alone; they are rooted in implicit memories formed during childhood and through traumatic experiences.

These implicit memories create somatic patterns—maps of reality about ourselves and the world—that operate beyond our conscious awareness. This is why we often feel stuck in certain patterns without fully understanding why.

The healing process is not about simply changing thoughts but about transforming the foundation from which those thoughts arise—our implicit memories, held within the tissues of our body (our soma).

In body-based therapy, we work directly with these somatic patterns, enabling rapid shifts in subconscious limiting beliefs that contribute to suffering in our lives.

Seeking anything outside the body is to leave yourself behind and retreat into conceptual reality.

Leaving the body means leaving the present moment — the only place where you can fully know yourself and create a life aligned with your truth.

Building a relationship of trust and true belonging with the body begins with developing interoception — the capacity to sense yourself from the inside out, rather than thinking about yourself.

In other words, interoception is the ability to sense, feel, and know yourself directly, without the usual filters and judgments layered over experience.

This direct knowing of reality — also known as embodiment — is how we end the seeking and return to our only true belonging: ourselves. 💛

Soma Wisdom is a space for deep healing and awakening through the innate intelligence of the body. Through somatic inquiry and embodiment practices, we work together to release trauma, transform limiting beliefs, and cultivate safety, resilience, and inner freedom.

My aim is to support your well-being by providing tools and a safe container for deep processing, so you can reconnect with your body’s wisdom and experience a more balanced, harmonious, and empowered life.

Friends

I’m delighted to share a few news and offerings I have coming up in this first half of 2025.

At the heart of these offerings is a deep wish to co-create a safe space for deep listening and to support your organic unfoldment toward truth and fulfilment.

In the midst of our busy lives, it’s easy to disconnect from our true nature and forget what really matters. Taking time away and gathering in community with shared intention is a powerful way to remember our true belonging, reconnect with our innate wisdom, and regain clarity.

Wishing you a peaceful and joyful year ahead. I hope to see you around soon.
