At Shedding, we believe that collaboration is magic, that we can all help each other, and that knowledge sharing is a powerful tool in community building!

That’s why we are offering our Empower program to local community groups in the Northern Rivers - to unite in connection and leading with passion, and be a part of our evolving Community Exchange Network.

What is Empower?
EMPOWER is a hands-on training program designed to inspire like-minded individuals and organisations to share Shedding's practices, learnings, resources and networks to empower communities near and far with practical carpentry and building skills in safe and supportive environments.

SPACEMAKERS!
Space Makers workshop is on every Friday.
It's a workshop where we collaboratively build a range of projects for our workshop space. We will work together, learning about design, context, installation, renovation and retro-fitting

⭐️ Please note, to participate in Space Makers you need to have completed the Upskill intro workshop, it runs every Saturday and Upskill is a one-off that gives you access to our other workshops, like Space Makers :)

Upskill is on Saturdays 8.30am-1pm. Our next workshop is this Saturday the 18th April. It’s a one-off introduction workshop to induct you into our space, our values and the Shedding way. Once you’ve completed it, it gives you access to all our other workshops.

Every Saturday arvo we welcome people to drop by with items that need a little tender loving care - bikes, furniture, clothes, electronics and other household treasures. Don't throw them out - we'll help you fix them!

Drop in between 1.30-4.30pm to say ‘Hi’, have a coffee, and learn how to give the items you love a second chance at life.

Potluck Dinner is tonight! We welcome you to join us to share in great company, conversation and the warmth of our safe space. Potluck dinner happens on the first Wednesday of every month - remember to pop it in your calendar.

We love that our potluck dinners are an opportunity to connect in a calm and comfortable environment, to find out more about each other and share our passions and interests while our tools are tucked away for a relaxing evening of community connection.

This full day workshop is for existing Shedders to develop skills and practices with tools they have already learnt at Shedding - designing and constructing for our space!

When is Construct?

APRIL: Kicks off in next week! This 4 day workshop will take place on Thursday 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd, from 8.30am-4.30pm.
