At Yarrawonga Health, community is at the heart of everything we do — and that spirit shines brightly through our incredible volunteers.
We warmly welcome our latest Palliative Care Volunteer inductees — Dale, Helen, Val, Debbie, Ken, Margi, Judi and Leonie — who have recently completed specialised palliative care training to support individuals and families during end-of-life care.
Across three dedicated sessions, our volunteers undertook training based on the Palliative Care Victoria modules, delivered by YH Nurse Practitioner Kevin Clemente in partnership with NCN Health for Moira Palliative Care.
This training strengthens their skills, deepens their knowledge, and builds confidence — ensuring they can provide compassionate, informed, and respectful support during some of life’s most vulnerable moments.
Volunteering in palliative care is a profound act of generosity. It is about presence, empathy, dignity, and human connection.
Thank you, Dale, Helen, Val, Debbie, Ken, Margi, Judi and Leonie — your commitment to walking alongside members of our community at such an important time is deeply valued
