Due to the exciting expansion of our Munno Para West practice, Incredible Smiles is looking for another passionate Oral Health Therapist to join our friendly, and be part of an exciting phase of expansion.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern, supportive environment where you’ll enjoy a wide scope of practice, ongoing mentoring, state of the art technology and the chance to genuinely love where you work.

🦷 About the Role
You’ll be working with a diverse patient base and providing a broad range of treatments, including:
Children’s dentistry & preventative care
Oral health education and hygiene therapy
Teeth whitening
Orthodontic treatments
Periodontal care
Working closely with dentists as part of a collaborative team
No two days are the same, and you’ll be encouraged to grow your skills and interests.

Sensitivity is a sign that the protective layers surrounding a tooth are decaying, if sensitivity persists or becomes acute a filling may be required.

With minor sensitivity common recommendations are to temporarily switch to a sensitive tooth paste, reduce acidic foods and drinks like soft drinks and try a soft bristled toothbrush, which can ease minor sensitivity in 2 to 4 weeks.

If sensitivity persists, book a check-up with a dentist, to professionally examine your tooth and provide treatment.

Yep, soft drinks are one of the top culprits for impacting the health of your teeth!

Why?

🥛They can contain acids that can weaken the enamel that protects your teeth.
🦠Frequent drinking puts your teeth under constant attack from bacteria and acid.
🛡️Once your enamel is lost, your teeth are more prone to decay, sensitivity and staining.

Tips to reduce the impact from sweet drinks:
🍝Drink them with a meal and avoid sipping them all day.
🥤Use a straw to reduce contact with your teeth.

We understand that some patients may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. At our practice, however, your comfort is of utmost concern to us. That’s why we provide inhalation sedation (happy gas) and feature Bluetooth headphones so patients can watch their favourite programs on our flat screen TV during treatment, including Netflix!
