Thank you to the community for the warm welcome you have shown us and for your ongoing patience and dedication as we navigate the launch of Violet Town Medical Centre.

We are now progressing through a vital accreditation process. Your support now directly supports our ability to expand. Upon accreditation, we plan to bring additional doctors to Violet Town, building a sustainable healthcare resource for our community.

We wish to emphasize that visiting our clinic does not require you to change your regular medical provider immediately. We are offering an additional local option. A single visit for a prescription, minor ailment, or check-up will contribute significantly to this foundational phase.

When the doctor is scheduled, we also have a nurse and receptionist onsite to provide support and to guarantee continuity of care while VTMC builds its permanent capacity.

Violet Town Medical Centre- run by Murchison Medical Clinic, a known and trusted GP clinic for over 20 years. It is a 100% bulk billing practice*.

This new service is the first step in a larger plan to secure a permanent, full-time medical
centre for Violet Town.

To achieve the crucial next step of accreditation, our goal is to see a minimum of 50 unique patients so there are enough medical records for the accreditation visit.

Think of this as our collective launchpad. You will be investing in the long-term medical
services for our entire town.

What Happens When We Reach Our Goal?

Once we have 50 patients, we can schedule the accreditation visit. Shortly after a successful
visit, we will be able to:
· Expand our days and hours to offer more appointment availability.
· Bring in additional doctors with a range of special interests, giving you more choice.
· Establish a permanent, robust medical centre that Violet Town can rely on for years to come.
· The addition of a pathology service in 2026

We envision a bustling local clinic where you can see a familiar, friendly faces without
travelling long distances, a clinic that grows with our families and supports our seniors.

Important announcement that will help more patients access affordable health care at Murchison Medical Clinic.

From tomorrow the 1st November, Murchison Medical Clinic will be a fully Bulk Billing Practice* for those who have a valid Medicare card.

What does that mean for you as a patient?
All doctor's consults and preventative care appointments with our team of nurses will be bulk billed.

*Some items for example, procedures & iron infusions will still incur an out of pocket fee. Our reception team will advise any out of pocket costs in advance where possible prior to these appointments.
