Last Friday, we welcomed Murdoch doctors and some special guests to our marquee by the Lake for their annual Christmas celebration, including our Doctor of the Year announcement (congratulations again to Associate Professor Raj Mohan!).

The evening gave us the opportunity to show our appreciation for our doctors and the incredible job they do all year round to care for our patients.

Thank you to all our doctors for your support, commitment, and excellence in providing the Murdoch difference. We think you're amazing.

On Monday 9 December, caregivers, managers, and executive gathered in the marquee by the Lake to celebrate those caregivers who have achieved their milestone Length of Service (from 5 years to 30 years) with St John of God Health Care. 🌟

Today, Murdoch held our annual Christmas decoration competition judging! 🎄

This year, wards and departments were tasked with decorating their areas in the theme of Christmas in the sun. ☀️🌟

Day Procedure (including DOSA and Angiography) took out the trophy this year! 👼

Honourable mentions went to Cancer Centre, St Mary ward, St Francis ward, and St Rose ward. 👏

Well done to everyone who took part and brought the Christmas spirit to Murdoch! 🎅🏻☃️❄️

Associate Professor Raj Mohan is a respected gynaecologist and gynaecological oncologist, admired for his kindness, humility and unwavering dedication to patient care. He was selected for his exceptional leadership in gynaecological cancer care, his commitment to research and clinical trials, and his passion for mentoring the next generation of specialists.

Today we rolled out the red carpet for our volunteers ahead of International Volunteer Day on Friday.

Our incredible volunteers were treated to a pancake breakfast as a token of thanks for the dedication, compassion, and care they bring to our lives and the lives of our patients every day. 🥞🤗

Congratulations to our St Michael ward who were the recent winners of the Heart of Murdoch: Team Excellence Award! 🏆❤️⭐

The award was paid forward by our Finance team, who said the following:

“First and foremost, this ward gives first class, warm and compassionate care. They deal beautifully with our Charity of the Year patients, and like every school holiday, a rush is about to hit them once schools out... and Christmas is coming, so what more appropriate time to give it to the kiddies! The thoroughly deserving winners of the Heart of Murdoch this month is St Michael ward.” 🤝

Our upcoming Light up the Lake with Love remembrance service includes live music by string quartet Aquila, a memorial tree, the symbolic lighting of our lake and trees, and the opportunity to purchase a special keepsake memorial candle.
