I have always had a passion for horses from a young age, helping out at the local riding school I learnt how unique each horse can be, it continued through school going down paths such as coaching, working with racehorses and in feed/tack stores, I just knew there was more to discover, so when I was 17yo took myself off to Victoria to learn Equine Touch with the late Jock (John) Ruddock, I was amazed! I had always had different therapies to my own horses and wanted to discover the 'why'.

After learning Equine Touch, I was hooked, I wanted to learn more, in 2014 I qualified as an Equine Sports Massage therapist through Equestricare, I went on to undertake my saddle fitting accreditation and studied Deep Tissue mobilisation.
I also am qualified in Mcloughlin Scar Release Therapy, and recently undertaking Dr Raquel Butlers Functional Postural Courses level 1 and 2.
I started running my own business after qualifying with Equestricare 11 years ago, it has taken me to some wonderful places including Flinders Island a few times. I use a range of my modalities in a treatment including red light therapy, and posture assessment. I run my business part time now as I also run my husbands building company.

Everything! I love the varied horses and people I meet, every horse presents a new challenge and something different for me, I love learning and finding solutions to issues, I love when there is a team involved, vets, farrier, other therapists and we can all work together to help the horse.

I don't think I can highlight one particular one, I have had some unusual ones over the years with massive injuries and how they manage to function in there own unique way still, my own horses have influenced me a lot with all being in some form of rehab, you learn so much when you are right there doing the homework you recommend to clients.

Just start learning, not one modality fits one horse so, learn, learn, learn, as much as you can, start questioning the why... why are they standing like that, why are they behaving like that, and what influences them to do that... Every question is a chance to learn.
