Murgon Local Ambulance Committee

Murgon Local Ambulance Committee Local Ambulance Committees (LAC) are made up of volunteers who take an active interest in supporting ambulance services in their communities.

Attached to ambulance stations of all sizes and in many locations, LACs work side by side with paramedics in their area to provide a direct link to the community. LACs also assist in providing professional development opportunities to staff through fundraising which aids in the purchase of training equipment and also to send staff to various conferences and training programs.

Last night our Committee was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by QAS. Thank you QAS.

Ssssss! Ambulance callouts for snake bites have DOUBLED in the last month!

As the weather warms be alert for snakes in your outdoor playground. Wear enclosed shoes, long clothing, and carry a compression bandage nearby.

Keep your distance and don't try to catch or kill snakes!

Today we honour those police officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty, the ultimate sacrifice to serve their community.

We also pay our respects to our friends in blue who continue to stand beside us each and every day, in all communities around Queensland.

What a wonderful story. Thank you Toowoomba Paramedics.
