This year, 21% of South Australia’s new GP trainees are opting to become rural generalists, just months after the subspecialty was formally recognised as a specialist field within general practice. Mt Gambier ➡️ Wallaroo in hurry 🩺 Made it just in time for the birth of a new local 👶 This is how we rural doctors do 👌 We work with our iconic midwives to make sure babies continue to be born on country and the mothers are safe and looked after 🫄 A pregnant woman otherwise having to travel hundreds of miles to a big city just to give birth is a big deal. Especially if you have to leave other kids at home. You wanna make a difference with your degree in health? Come work rural too. That simple 🙌
