4am 🏥 callout + bags under the 👀 for real BUT also pretty epic being the anaesthetist for one of my former Pt Lincoln student doctors as she brings new life into the world as the obstetrician oncall for the town 🤰👶🩺 So proud to have been part of your journey and to be finally working side by side to keep rural communities safe

Finishes anaesthetic oncall in one rural town ➡️✈️ flies 750km to DJ another town's Area School Formal the same day 🩺🎶🔥 Thanks to the almost 200 young people from Streaky, Wudinna, Elliston, Miltaburra and Karcultaby for partying to the Lam Bros. Disc Jockeying beats 🎧🙌 and all the volunteers with big community energy who put together such an awesome event ❤️

Congratulations to Lincoln Medical Centre's Dr Sam Olaiya 1 of 3 teachers in Port Lincoln who taught me everything I know and my former trainee Dr James Ashby (who succeeded despite me trying to teach him all my bad habits) for receiving their Fellowship in Rural Generalism at the RACGP South Australian Fellowship Ceremony. Incredibly proud of my sister and GP Lyf Hacks cohost for graduating as a RACGP specialist doctor 🎓🩺🙌 That's 6 years of medschool + 4 years more training to make sure y'all get quality care any day of the week 👌 Thrilled that together as GPs we'll be keeping people of all ages and cultures safe and healthy just like our Grandfather did all across 🇦🇺 I'm sure he'd be proud too ❤️

Rural Generalist 🟰 newest type of specialist doctor to be officially recognised in 🇦🇺 🟰 when the doctor in your country town is a specialist in multitasking and works in the emergency department, operating room, maternity ward and the GP clinic to make sure you and your loved ones of all ages stay safe 🩺💉🤰👶 Yes this sums up how I spent the last 24hrs, yes I'm feeling a bit gassed but yes it's worth it cos all rural communities deserve good medical care 🙌
