🌸Merry Christmas!🌸
As we approach the end of the year, we would like to take a moment to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe, prosperous 2026.

We are incredibly grateful to the participants who have trusted us to walk alongside them, to the families, carers and support networks who work tirelessly every day, and to the amazing providers we have the privilege of collaborating with. Your trust, partnership and dedication make the work we do so meaningful.

Our team will be taking a short break to rest, recharge and spend time with loved ones. We will be back and ready to continue supporting our participants from 5th January.

Thank you for being part of our journey this year. We look forward to what 2026 will bring and continuing to grow together.

🌸A Special Thank You Note🌸

The Little Blossom Support Team recently celebrated our Christmas work show at Helen's Mini World, getting creative and making our own beautiful terrariums. It was such a special way to slow down, laugh together, and reflect on the year that’s been.

I am beyond grateful for this incredible team. Thank you for your dedication, compassion, and the care you show our participants every single day. The work you do does not go unnoticed, and I’m so proud of what we’ve built together. 🙌

As I prepare to go on maternity leave in the new year, my heart is at ease knowing this amazing team will continue to ensure my first baby continues to thrive, whilst supporting participants to achieve their goals and live their best lives. 🥰

🌸 A Gentle Reminder This Festive Season 🌸

As Christmas approaches, life can feel extra busy, overwhelming, and chaotic for everyone. During this time, we wanted to take a moment to pause and reflect on the power of kindness and appreciation.

Support Coordinators are human too. Behind every email, phone call, and report is a person who genuinely cares, who problem-solves after hours, advocates fiercely, and often goes above and beyond to support participants and families—especially during stressful periods.

This week, Nick received some beautiful feedback, which truly made his week. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do and how meaningful a few kind words can be. 🥰

Thank you to those who take the time to show patience, understanding, and appreciation. It never goes unnoticed and means more than you may realise—especially at this time of year. 🙌

Let’s continue to lead with kindness, compassion, and grace—for one another. ✨

🌸Kids and Youth Disability Expo🌸

On November 14th, Amanda and Nick had the absolute pleasure of attending the Kids and Youth Disability Expo. They have left with many new connections and knowledge about resources available to support the participants they support.

As you can tell by their smiles, it was a great event, and who knows, maybe next year Little Blossom Support will have a stall of their own there 😁🙌

🌸Little Blossom Support is growing!🌸

The wonderful Amanda has joined the Little Blossom Support team, offering Level 2 - Support Coordination and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching services.

Amanda is a beautiful mum of two (and their pets), and has experience as an educator and working with participants who have complex support needs. With lived experience of neurodiversity, Amanda brings a gentle maternal nature to the participants she supports.

🌸 Happy Carers Week! 🌸

This week, we celebrated and recognised the incredible carers in our community — the quiet heroes who give so much of themselves to support others every single day. 💜

I had the pleasure of providing valuable resources and information for carers and co-hosting the session with the lovely Danielle from Sage Executor Solutions. It was such a wonderful opportunity to connect, share, and support those who give so much of their time and heart.

A special thank you to Mt Barker Library for having us and creating a welcoming space for carers to come together. 💕

As many of you know, Big K and I are proudly hosting a Charity Quiz Night in Mount Barker this November to raise funds for the Australian Amyloidosis Network—supporting patients, families, and vital research into this rare cancer.

🌸Monday's Moment of Reflection🌸

Little Blossom Support team saw this video whilst doing some training and thought 'wow this can happen so easily to not just people with Down Syndrome but to anyone'. The good ol' self-fulfilling prophecy!

🌸CARERS WEEK 2025🌸

During the week of October 12th - 18th, we are taking time to recognise and celebrate the incredible contributions of carers in our community. Carers often go above and beyond in supporting their loved ones, and their role can be both rewarding and deeply challenging.

One of the hardest realities we see as a disability support provider is that formal disability supports cease as soon as a person passes away. This can leave families and informal supports navigating not only grief, but also the complex and overwhelming task of finalising a deceased estate.

To help ease this burden, we have teamed up with Sage Executor Solutions to provide carers with information and guidance around deceased estate planning. Having a plan in place can make a world of difference when the time comes, giving families peace of mind and reducing the stress during an already difficult period.

Carers give so much of themselves every day. During Carers Week, we want to not only acknowledge their dedication, but also equip them with tools and knowledge to feel supported now and into the future. 💜
