Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Minister for Health and Aged Care Mark Butler MP have announced a price reduction on all PBS medicines, bringing the maximum out-of-pocket cost for patients down from $31.60 to $25.

The new maximum price will benefit over 20 million patients who don't hold a health or concession card.

Cyclone Alfred Update
We will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Everyone should STAY home if it is safe to do so.

05/03/2025

In light of Tropical Cyclone Alfred's imminent approach, Queensland Premier David Crisafulli has issued a directive for residents to stay home unless they are in designated flood zones. This measure aims to ensure public safety as the cyclone is expected to bring severe weather conditions, including heavy rainfall, damaging winds, and potential flooding.

Residents in storm surge zones are advised to consider evacuation, with local councils opening evacuation centres to accommodate those affected. Public transport services will cease tonight and remain halted through Friday, and state bridges will close when wind speeds reach 90 km/h. The Australian Defence Force is on standby to assist with rescue operations if necessary.

It's crucial to stay informed through official channels and follow the guidance provided by authorities to ensure your safety during this severe weather event.

Cyclone Alfred Alert
Please make sure you have enough medication for at least a week.

04/03/2025

As Tropical Cyclone Alfred approaches Southeast Queensland, it's crucial to stay informed and prepared. Forecasts indicate that Alfred, currently a Category 2 cyclone, is expected to make landfall between the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast late Thursday or early Friday, bringing heavy rainfall, damaging winds, and potential flooding.

Here are some essential steps to ensure your safety:

Secure Your Property: Remove or tie down any loose items around your home that could become projectiles in strong winds.

Prepare an Emergency Kit: Include essentials such as water, non-perishable food, medications, flashlights, and batteries.

Stay Informed: Regularly check updates from the Bureau of Meteorology and local authorities for the latest information on the cyclone's path and safety advisories.

Plan for Evacuation: Know your local evacuation routes and have a plan in place in case authorities advise you to leave your area.

Remember, it's always better to be over-prepared. Stay safe, look out for your neighbors, and let's support each other through this challenging time.

We are open today 8am-6pm but cannot guarantee that we will be open for the remainder of the week, so please make sure you have enough medication for at least a week.
