It’s an IRS Chrissie! ✨🎄

We first chatted with Josh in July, utterly inspired by his feat: completing the Melbourne Marathon just nine months after his TBI!

Now, we check in on the next chapter. After an insightful pivot from construction (and a key volunteer role at NMFC), Josh is thriving in sports retail. His journey confirms that recovery isn't a straight path, but a powerful series of meaningful pivots that - with support and hard work - always lead forward.

We said goodbye and good luck to the lovely Georgina, OT student, this week!

We've loved having Georgina on the team during her placement and were happy to know the feeling was mutual. 💗

We’re very proud of our immersive student placement program here at IRS. We aim to provide as much insight as possible into the life of a community neuro clinician, so they are well equipped to find their fit after their studies.

To coincide with Amy's milestone we are launching a leadership Q&A series, titled 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘢𝘺. Amy sat down with us and answered our questions so thoughtfully, we were truly inspired.

Today we acknowledge International Day of People with a Disability with the theme: Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress.

The theme this year really resonates with us as Allied Health professionals, it directly speaks to the heart of our work - advancing social progress starts here in the therapy we provide every day and how we deliver our services.

Each year we invite a client to share their story with our team. This year we welcomed David, a client who sustained a TBI from a cycling accident in 2020. David told us of his personal experiences both of living with a disability and navigating the healthcare landscape. We listened deeply, learned a lot and shared many laughs. We appreciated his generosity and candour, and we feel privileged to be able to work with him.

Today is a great reminder to continue the conversation, break down barriers and build a more inclusive community.

Our annual Wellbeing Festival took place yesterday! 💕

The team were delighted to take part in a wellbeing themed scavenger hunt.

This Wednesday lunch tradition is a fave amongst the team. It’s always a bit of fun, a chance to let loose a little and a good reminder about the importance of self-care and wellbeing practices for us all. 🧘
