Mental load? What is it and how does it affect you

Ever feel exhausted by the sheer number of responsibilities on your plate? After a full day of work, you have to find time for chores, exercise, meal planning, grocery shopping, social activities, picking up prescriptions, making vet appointments, and more.

The demands of day-to-day life can be draining enough when you only have yourself to consider. Add in a partner or kids, and you might find yourself overwhelmed by the weight of burden.

For many catholic or Christian today being shrove Tuesday, the day before lent starts, we contemplate what we will “give up” for the 40 days of lent (after we have enjoyed our pancakes 😉). These days those that participate chose to give up something that they really enjoyed, anything from tv to chocolate.
Our family has decided to give up red meat (we are BBQ lovers 😋), for lent for health benefits as well as to helping us broaden our diet choices. 🤔 I wonder can you BBQ falafels??
For many, this is also a great time to give up something that they struggle to kick, that is bad for their health such as sugar, chocolate, ci******es 🚬 alcohol 🍺
Turning a new routine or behaviour into a healthy habit takes between 30-60 days, so once you have got through lent you are well on the way to taking back control!!

Why Hypnotherapy for weight loss

My goal is to help you to repair your relationship with food and your body using hypnotherapy, so that you can feel in control and healthier.

My name is Alison and I have been in the health care industry for almost 20 years as a registered nurse. In this time I continually came across people with terrible yet preventable health complications that were caused from poor lifestyle choices. Each of these people knew what they were doing to themselves but just couldn't stop, whether that was smoking or eating to much or eating to much sugary and fatty foods for example.

From this I learnt that it is not just education, because we all know what foods are healthy and what happens within our bodies when we constantly over indulge and that smoking is bad for us, but there is something much deeper that is controlling some peoples ability to make those much needed healthy lifestyle changes and just stop those bad habits.

When I was in my 20’s I suffered from anxiety, and not wanting to turn to medication I decided to try hypnotherapy with great success. As I continued my health care career and continued to come across people that had become ill due to not being able to make those healthy lifestyle choices that they needed to make, I knew that instead of caring for them in their terminal stages that I would really like to support people to make a change before it was to late, to provide proactive rather than reactive care.
