Call Out to Local Artists & Sculptors
Seeking Artists to Create a Giant Yoni Sculpture for the Birth Wellness Festival 2025.
We’re seeking inspired sculptors, builders, craftspeople, or creative visionaries to help us design and construct a large-scale yoni art installation as part of this year’s Birth Wellness Festival, taking place on Saturday September 13th & Sunday, September 14th at the Murwillumbah Showgrounds.

This will be a central installation celebrating the creative power of women and birth — a portal, a space people can walk through.
We envision the yoni sculpture as large, sacred, earthy, and visually striking, one that people will be talking about. To this end, we are calling in:
Design ideas – sketches, concepts, shapes, materials
Materials – wood, fabric, metal, natural fibres, recycled/reclaimed materials
Labour/Skills – sculpting, building, installation, welding, carpentry, painting

This is a volunteer-led community project aligned with the festival’s ethos. While we cannot offer payment, we can provide:
A public platform to showcase your work
Promotion of you/your art business in our program and socials
Materials (depending on the design and sponsorship/contributions we receive).

🌸 We Need Your Help for the Birth Wellness Festival! 🌸
We are seeking a passionate and organised volunteer (or potentially two volunteers) to help manage the Birth Expo during the Birth Wellness Festival this September!

The Birth Expo is a key part of the festival, bringing together amazing vendors, birth professionals, and wellness experts. We need someone (or a team) who is committed, self-motivated, and excited to be an integral part of making the Expo a seamless, vibrant, and empowering experience for all involved.

What’s Involved:
Managing Applications: You will be responsible for overseeing the vendor application process, ensuring everything is organized and that the right fit for the Expo is found.

Weekend Point of Contact: During the festival weekend, you’ll be the go-to person for all things Expo-related — assisting with set-up, answering questions, and providing on-the-ground support for the stallholders.

Coordinating Vendors: You’ll be the key point of contact for stallholders before, during, and after the event — making sure everyone has what they need to have a smooth and successful experience.

The Ideal Volunteer:
Passionate about Birth and Wellness: You’re excited about the mission of the Birth Wellness Festival and are motivated by the opportunity to support its growth.

Organized & Detail-Oriented: You’re able to keep track of numerous details, manage multiple tasks at once, and remain calm under pressure.

Communicative & Friendly: As the point of contact for vendors, you'll need to be a clear and friendly communicator.

Self-Motivated: You’re someone who can take initiative and work independently, but also knows when to ask for support.
