Have you been diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoperosis, or are afraid you haven't been doing the right things and will end up with them.

Well you can stop osteopenia and osteoperosis in it's tracks with the right diet.

What you need is;
weight bearing exercises,
Food rich in calcium
vitamin D,
vitamin K2 - vitamin K2 is essential in good bone health, and in a vegan diet the only place you can get vitamin K2 is from fermented foods. A great place to start to easily get vitamin K2 is in sauerkraut .

Vitamin K2 activates osteocalcin, which is a protein that binds to calcium and takes the calcium to where it needs to go in the body.

Like menstruation menopause can be a time for celebration. But not if you are having indications that are hindering your life.

Eating the right foods can assist you in having a more enjoyable menopause. If you add certain foods into your diet and replace some culprit foods with other foods you will see the indications of menopause easing.

Rant alert: When I was growing up in Australia adds on tv used to say eating 3 eggs a week was good for you. We used to have one a week on a Sunday. Now I hear that people are having 8 to 12 a day. Is that insanity or what ?

I don’t want yo shame anyone but I would like to suggest if you are eating more than 3 eggs a week to think of other protein sources instead.

What do you think? Do you think 8 eggs a day is too many ?

Happy Holi festival everyone. Celebration of colour. Celebration of the divine love of the deities Radha and Krishna. In the northern hemisphere it’s also the celebration of spring. It is the celebration of good over evil.
Bring some goodness into your life this holi festival (celebrated on the full moon) and make my yummy poha recipe.

While not specifically a holi recipe it is a yummy Indian recipe from the state of Gujarat.

Why take supplements when you can get all your nutrition from food?

Well that’s a damn good reason.

For vitamin K2 which you absolutely need on a daily basis for good bone health you can get it from sauerkraut.
