What is epigenetics explained simply?
β€œEpigenetics” is an emerging area of scientific research that shows how environmental influences, such as children's experiences actually affect the expression of their genes. This means the old idea that genes are β€œset in stone” has been disproven. Just as we learn new ways to do things, we can also teach ourselves new ways to do things. In other words, we can re program how to respond to environmental situations.
Did you know that hands on healing, soft tissue therapy, meditation, relaxation techniques, and hypnotherapy such as the holistic therapies we offer here at MM Holistic Healing, are being validated through science!
As natural and holistic therapists, we have always known the body has the ability to heal itself. We have observed this in practice, within ourselves, and ancient cultures have known this since the dawn of time.
It is so wonderful to see the science world and the epigenetics community in particular, exploring and verifying with strong evidence as to HOW healing occurs within the body. Scientists are now observing new data that is revealing the relationships between therapies and the biochemical effects that they have on the individual holistically, which includes, physiological, psychological and mind-body aspects. In other words, holistic and natural therapies are being validated, FINALLY, and science is observing that we have it within us to heal ourselves through the energetic process of epigenetics.

Let's talk about relationships/boundaries and trust issues

Firstly, ask yourself:
How do I make a decision? What process do I use to make a decision?
How do I know if I have made a good decision?
and How do I determine what is important and what is not important when making a decision?

Now, ask yourself this:
How do I know if a relationship is worth pursuing or not?
How do I know if someone is worth investing my time in or not?
and How do I know who I can trust? What process do I use internally to answer my own question?

Thirdly, ask yourself:
How do I set boundaries? What process do I use to know if the boundary is fair or not?
How do I deal with conflict? How do I determine what is worth defending and what is not?
and How do I know if I am being realistic or not?

These are just a few questions you can ask yourself about your relationships, and if you find you do not know the answer to one or more of your own questions, perhaps it is time to look deeper into how you process the questions you ask yourself.

When we allow ourselves the time to ask ourselves our own objective questions, we often find the answer within ~ MM πŸ™Œ

Have you ever considered thinking about the process of thinking?
You know, the processes within, the nuts and bolts of what is actually going on inside your body when you think. You will be amazed to learn that what is actually occurring is a biological emotional systematic response which occurs simultaneously as you think a thought and your body then processes that thought emotionally. Did you know that as you think about something, either from your past or your future, your body actually starts the process of creating the hormones and the emotions attached to that very thought? So in thought, one might say that at any time, one can choose to think of something positive or negative and create the biological emotional response within the body as if it is happening in that very moment. Because, the truth is, that is exactly what is happening, and the mind- body cannot tell the difference between past-present-future. It merely responds to thought processes and the emotional response (energy in motion) to that thought, which causes various systems within the body to start creating hormones to support the emotional response to the thought. And did you know that at any time, you can choose to change that process with a simple change in thought? You are not your past. Every time you think a thought from your past, you recreate that past experience, it is not happening, but your mind-body thinks it is, and so it recreates the emotions and hormones attached to that experience, good, bad, or ugly. And the same can be said of thinking into the future.
So what do you choose to think about time and time again? Is it time to think about what you have been thinking about, and change it? ~ MM
