💛💜 Today is Inters*x Awareness Day 💜💛

Each year on 26 October, we come together to recognise and celebrate Inters*x people, people born with innate variations of s*x characteristics, and to stand for visibility, inclusion, and human rights across our communities.

This day marks an important opportunity to listen, learn, and affirm the voices and experiences of Inters*x people. It reminds us that inclusion means creating safe, respectful spaces in health, education, workplaces, and community life.

🌈 Throughout this week, our QC and 2Spirits teams will host morning teas and an afternoon tea, with conversations at our multiple sites, in partnership with InterAction and InterLink, to raise awareness and strengthen connections that support Inters*x wellbeing.

💜 Everyone is welcome to join us at our sites:

Celebrate LGBTI+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy stories, archives, and community in this special online gathering.

We’ll be joined by guest speakers from The Australian Q***r Archives and the State Library of Queensland, sharing ways to access the rich collections that preserve our shared histories.

You’ll also hear from QC and 2Spirits staff about programs and events supporting LGBTI+ older people across the state, and how to stay connected and proud at every age.
