We need your help to change attitudes about sun safety in a very important demographic: our youth.

MIA's SunSafe Student Ambassador Program is a free one-day workshop that teaches teens about the importance of sun safety and the dangers of tanning, while developing their public speaking skills and empowering them to be champions of change within their school community. The program promotes student wellbeing and fulfils PDHPE/HPE curriculum outcomes.

SunSafe has officially opened for 2025 registrations! Schools are invited to send 3-5 students from Years 8-10 plus an accompanying teacher to participate in this important program.

2025 locations include:
✅ Wollstonecraft, Sydney (14 August)
✅ Camperdown, Sydney (20 August)
✅ Cottesloe, Perth (27 August)
✅ Hobart (4 September)
✅ Ballina (12 September)
✅ Wagga Wagga (18 September)

Parents - please encourage your child's school to attend, or complete the expression of interest form.
Schools - please register now, places are filling fast!

The SunSafe Program is an initiative of MIA and is held in partnership with Cancer Council NSW, Sydney Local Health District, Northern Sydney Local Health District, and Cancer Council Western Australia.

Did you know that during daily activities, such as walking the dog, gardening or hanging out the washing, you can get caught off guard by UV radiation you're not conscious of?
This , we’re encouraging all Australians to protect their skin from UV exposure and make sun protection a daily habit to reduce the risk of developing skin cancer.
You can check the daily UV index on weather apps.
