Obstetric TENS Machine Hire

Naracoorte General Practice now has two Obstetric TENS Machines available for hire.

TENS Machines are used as a natural way to reduce pain.

The Obstetric TENS is the same but is specially programmed to assist with pain during labour.

For additional information, please speak to our midwife Amanda or the girls at he front desk.

February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

Each year in Australia around 1,900 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer. In most cases the cancer will be diagnosed at an advanced stage, where it is very difficult to treat.

Time to chill, it’s a scorcher out there!

Make sure you:

❄️ use air-conditioners and fans to keep cool
🛀 have a cool shower or bath
📱 check on vulnerable friends and family
🐾 look after your fur-friends.

Cervical Cancer Awareness Week: 17–23 November 2025
Here’s how you can protect yourself and spread the word:
• Get vaccinated: One (1) free dose of the HPV vaccine is available for all young people under 25 years, male and female.
• Get screened: Cervical screening tests every five (5) years for women and those with a cervix aged 25–74.
• Choose your method: You can have your doctor carry out your screening or you can self-collect.
