NANGWARRY CFS
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED NOW!
Nangwarry CFS has been a part of the community for many years. Over that time the brigade has evolved from a predominately bushfire brigade to responding to all types of emergencies in support of the community. Nangwarry CFS provides a 24/7 fire and rescue service to the town of Nangwarry and surrounding communities. This service is provided entirely by volunteers.
The Brigade is now at a critical point. Our fastest response would normally come from your part of the community. Your commitment to the community is needed for us to keep the Brigade open.
If Nangwarry CFS keep going in the current direction, we are at real risk of not having a CFS brigade within this local area. We will need to rely on other towns to assist when required. This may well increase the time it takes for help to arrive when it is needed the most.
Ultimately, the Nangwarry CFS brigade is a community asset. If we ignore it and don’t chip in, we will lose it.
Nangwarry CFS is recruiting now and is in critical need for new volunteers. If you are prepared to ‘have a go’ and join a team of likeminded people, you are just the type of person we are looking for. We have a need for both firefighters and operational support personnel. You may be able to help build the brigade with skills in areas such as administration, finance or logistics. We are seeking your time and willingness to learn and stand for our community.
IF YOU CAN HELP, THEN NANGWARRY CFS WANTS YOU!
We will provide you with the equipment, protective clothing and uniforms that you need as well as train you in the skills required to be able to help your community when it needs it the most.
If you or anyone you know of is willing and able to volunteer, we will be holding a community meeting at Nangwarry CFS Station, 7 MacIntosh Street, Nangwarry on Wednesday the 16th July 2025 at 7:00pm where we will have members present who will be able to answer your questions and provide further information on what being part of the CFS involves and the benefits it provides.
