On our flight from LAC to the Philippines, three amazing air hostesses created an unforgettable afternoon. They brought the experience to life with a vibrant atmosphere, complete with a flight simulator for takeoff and landing. From our seats, we had the chance to enjoy breathtaking views of the beautiful Philippines.

🚐🌿 Bus Outing Adventure!

Our residents recently enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Bool Lagoon Bird Room – a collection that began as Jack Bourne’s hobby and grew into a lifelong passion. Today, it houses over 600 taxidermied birds and more than 300 fauna specimens! 🐦

A special thank you to Jack’s daughter, Marion, who joined us on the bus and shared her incredible knowledge passed down through her parents, along with her enthusiasm for our local fauna.

The day was filled with fresh air, fascinating facts, and even a few cheeky puppy cuddles! 🐾

🌼 Changes are coming to Aged Care 🌼

From 1 November 2025, the Charter of Aged Care Rights will be replaced under the new Aged Care Act 2024.

These changes are designed to strengthen the rights, safety, and quality of care for older Australians, and will include a new Statement of Rights.

Aged Care Employee Day is an opportunity to recognise the compassion, professionalism, and hard work that each of you brings to our community every single day.

We have an incredible team combined of Nurses, Carers, Lifestyle, Administration, Resident Services and Maintenance staff and your contribution makes Longridge the special place it is.

To celebrate YOU this week, we’ve enjoyed some special moments together:
🔥 A staff and resident BBQ – a chance to connect over great food and good company
🍩 Sweet treats of doughnuts and cheesecake for all to enjoy
🎁 Small gifts of appreciation - as a token of our gratitude (thanks to our photo models, Alicia and Kulwinder!)
👕 Casual dress all week – because comfort should be part of the celebration too!

The Longridge Aged Care Ladies Auxiliary was recently the lucky recipient of a generous donation from Ottoson Partners Real Estate. 🏡

Throughout the months of June and July, Ottoson Partners have been giving back to the community by donating to local charities, with their vendors nominating the cause. We were honoured to be chosen. 🙌

Every dollar raised by the Auxiliary goes directly towards improving the lives of the residents in our care, and we are truly grateful for the support shown by Ottoson Partners Real Estate, and their lovely vendor! 🧓👵

Supporting our community is important to us.
For the months of June & July we have made a donation for each new listing to a local charity selected by our Vendor's.

One of our recent Vendor's chose the Naracoorte Longridge Ladies Auxiliary as their recipient. We were delighted to present this donation to the lovely Marg Wellington as Secretary of the Auxiliary.
